Autosports Northwest Autocross opening season novice event was held today at the Deer Park, Washington Airport, which is north of Spokane about 20 miles. NWBMWClub.com was in attendance with a large group of drivers, as well as a Mini club and a few other select makes of cars. There was a good turnout considering the day started off brisk and gloomy for the first round of autocross. Slight showers and a wet track tested the drivers ability this morning. As the drivers learned the first course they started pushing their limits which led to some intense spin outs, especially from the rear wheel drive BMW’s.

After the lunch break many of us showed Zip’s the most people it has probably seen in years. The weather turned for the better and the showers subsided. The organizers changed the course once more before things would come to a close. The BMW drivers gave a pretty good show. You can find some pictures below, and even more on the forums.
