Shouldn't we have a tuning section somewhere on here? :headscratch:
Anyway, I took a degree of timing out of my 93 torque tune and am running 92 from CostCo and am getting sick wheel hop, getting on the freeway. I used to think that tune sucked. It knocked at low RPMs and never felt fast. This weekend, I pulled off the twin bore throttle body set and cleaned the shit out of both sides. They didn't look that dirty but it sure made a difference at cold idle and hitting second, I had to be gentle. Hitting third I could hit it hard and pedal it a little and it would hook up.
Driving in the upcoming rain will really suck, I think. Winter snows will be uber-sucky.
My favorite spot to enter the highway is the Eastbound onramp at Liberty Lake. Slight drift around the banked, right hand turn then ease on second gear and hit third and smoosh the rear suspension, just before entering the right lane. Just hitting 110MPH, at the bridge, if there's no one too close to make them panic, then let off and coast to the top of the next hill and hit cruise control at 75, for the cruise home, once it's out of my system.

my motor is tuned to run at 102 octane. i get no power under 3500 without 102 octane. i get the 92 octane and nos booster raises 10g of fuel 10 points. but i cant afford it anymore cause its an extra ten bucks a tank and im not racing so ill deal with the idle issues. also after a full poly chassis kit and my homeade poly motor mounts i have 0 wheel hop and actually have traction in 1st gear. my lauches are way better. cant wait to finish the 2.4 swap. i found a motor and only need about 200 dollars in parts and a good 15 hours. but ill be sittin an 170hp and 195lb at around 6500. and i finally got the turbo and manifold so ill be a sleepin srt-4 soon! that will be a bitch to tune, but im getting the aem piggyback. any help on that would be nice or at least some pointers

no i got a race pcm from modern performance but i will be getting aems piggyback in the next couple months for my srt swap so i will be soon, a buddy of mine is a certified tuner so hell help me with it. oh ive been meaning to ask you, do you have any extra injectors cause any 05+ mustang gt has direct swap injectors for my motor and im trying to find the cheapest route, i figure you might have some extras laying around. the only way this build is gonna happen is if its a cheap as possible and i find good deals on the things i need for boosting, im not buying anything new, ill upgrade later once the whole sytem is in

Nah, no spares for injectors (yet). I'm trying to remember if Brenspeed has them. I saw someone had a good deal, somewhere...
That car's gonna be extra fun, with that turbo :) I have to think the first time the BOV makes a sound, it's gotta be awesome.

Beaing tuned for 102oct and only running 92oct isent the best thing for your motor. When you tune for one octane level and then run a lower it can cause knock and of corse make your car slower. Like on my STI its tuned for 100oct and thats all i can run in it or it runs like crap . Tuning on like 92 and running 100+ is ok but you dont really wanna go to a lower octane.
And with the AEM EMS be very careful when tuning you can go wrong very quick i had it on my civic and its a pain to tune rite

Can you get 100 unleaded anywhere? I could have sworn I saw it in Post Falls near the Racing Fuel place, but they only have 110.
