good start.

the best thing about those is the sound of a blow-off valve. That would be my first upgrade

I would wait to get a venting BOV. Unless your getting your car tuned it makes them run too rich. I understand that most people do that mod first but look at all the running vs non running DSM's. I would wait and just do it correctly.

I would work on getting the evo 3 turbo mani. I would go with the FP cast turbo mani over the evo 3 since it flows slightly more. While your at it get the evo 3 o2, hard pipe your side mount then go get some evo 560 injectors. Tune it and you will be suprised at what you pull out of it. For a FWD car you don't need a massive amount of HP

if it is a tsi, it is awd. venting into the atmosphere on a talon is bad becuase the ecu already figures out the air it is recirculating into the intake plenum and adjusts fuel for it, if you vent it outside, it will almost stall on you because of being rich as stated above. get a 2g maft, hack the fuel pump to allow more fuel and be able to run above 16psi or you will run lean, but the 14b is out of its efficiency range above that anyways so it is useless. the e316g is a great turbo for the 4g, with the fuel upgrades like 550 injectors, you could easily see 300+awhp out of it and dip a mid-low 12 slip. fmic will help alot too, hardpiped of course.
there is a beginner thread on www.dsmtuners.com on how to properly mod the 4g without screwing things up, you should go by that bible and read up.

Actually the TSI on the Talons just means its a Turbo Model.

The site you mentioned DSM Tuners is a great site. I spend a lot of time there and also on dsmtalk.com.

I don't see this car/build going much past what I listed previously. If I find the right 1gB AWD model or a Twin Turbo VR4 I might go for the the big whp build. Just going for the sleeper stock looking car that has a bit of a bite  Not going to vent the BoV - they do sound killer vented but unless you run full engine management (DSMLink or AEM) its power lost on these cars like Taleon said.

A header/downpipe/catback and a MK4 supra SMIC upgrade might get me where I wanna be ... who knows ... Its gonna be fun finding out though

if I were you, I'd get a new fuel pump walbro 255lph and maybe a 550 fuel injectors and turn up the boost on the stock 14b. Once you max out the 14b then you can step up to the 16g and have no problems. Looks good though.
