i think i might have a fuel rails and injectors and i a throttle bottle ill take a look to make sure, do you want a y8 ecu i have a p2p
Spensman
03-13-2009, 02:24 PM
you can use your stock injectors and fuel rail, i found the y8 1s let me know if you want them, also i dont think theres a 96-98 p28 ecu but i could be wrong i think they only come in the 92-95 ex and si's and 96-2000 ex have the y8 engine with a p2p
Brian
03-13-2009, 02:28 PM
that is correct
P28 ECU is OBD-1 from a 92-95 Civic EX (D16Z6)
You need the P2P OBD-2 from a 96-00 Civic EX

id use the p28 because of the knock sensor and how a y7 doesnt have 1, just helping you on the cars the ecu comes out of

Since your not selling it anymore, I'm going to close the thread that you have about it. If you decide to put it up for sale again, let me know and I will unlock it

do you mean? there a cam already in the y8 head
Brian

cams are completely different. One is a VTEC cam and the other is a non-VTEC cam. The cam gears, i believe, are the same though

With your brothers swap how did you do the electrical stuff?
Did you start out with OBD2 ecu?
Spensman
03-18-2009, 03:40 PM
ya itll start and run fine the only, the only reason you need a different ecu is for the vtec hes still using his stock ecu

So does anyone know more about wiring the vtec and intake stuff to a p2p ecu?
aust ek coupe
03-25-2009, 07:15 PM
there should be like 3 wires for the vtec. what do you need to wire on the intake? most of it just plug and play

if you use the z6 intake with the harness you have right now you wont have some of the sensors but with a y8 its just plug and play
