Ok, i definately have to say something. When we are cruising, everybody does the speed limit! Dont be a douchebag that gives us tuners all a bad name. When we are just cruising dont pull up and try blowing everybody away and rev your motor. Just chill out. If you race someone and lose, dont look like a jackass blowing past everybody. There is no need to show off your car regardless if its fast or slow. We already know whats under your hood, no need to get yourself in trouble. The only time its ok to speed is on the freeway and rediculous speeds are only ok in the boondocks. Not when deer are trying to commit suicide. I dont mean to sound like a dick but i will not relate myself with ricers, sorry. Ok i think thats enough there.

The flyby is not cool. In today's world, it's about acceleration, not top speed.

Even in the old days it was like that, now that I think about it. Download the Beach Boys' songs "Little Deuce Coupe" and "409". How cool is it to make a whole song out of a mod list? Those songs were written in the early 1960's I think. Even then, it was acceleration. I can't imagine racing on those old tires.

But kids were losing their licenses to street racing back in the 40's and 50's.

Yeah, having a fast car is not about going 50 in a 35 (douche at work blows by me everyday). Not that I am an angel [cough]. When I was a kid, I had my fair share of run-ins with the police.

It takes a while to get back on the cops' good side too. Once they have been hiding and seen you go by at 35 in a 35, a few hundred times, it actually surprises them if they catch you doing 45 and they hurry along to ask if everything's ok :). If your excuse is "I'm an idiot. I set the cruise at 45 instead of 35, for some reason." They will believe you for having seen you go 35 all the rest of the time.

Ha, you guys are so so right. I'm so so sick of ricer flybys as you put it. Being a girl in a bright yellow honda, all the douche guys that think they are hot come flying up on me all the time in town reving there engine and then yell things at me cause I won't race them at 1pm on the busiest road in town. Fuck, I've only gotten ONE speeding ticket and I'm proud of that! I race, but at night, in the waaaaaay back roads where I can be sure I'm not going to hit someones dog or cat. There has been so so many dumb accidents here in bellingham, people are dying because of assholes needing to show off. Props for this post for sure, glad to hear others say it! :D :D :D :D

Yeah it's hard not to do it sometimes , especially when you pull up to the stop light look over and see some one runnin their mouth or revvin up there motor, the temptation is high . But me personally i've gotten on the bad side of a lot of the local cops around my area for pullin some stupid stunts but live n learn, and i always seem to learn the hard way. Here's proof of my poor decision of choice making

Hell yeah I lost my license. But like half of those tickets are for driving while suspendeds, and that's why that's what's really fuckin me outta my license. I owe like 7500 g's and even if I were to pay it off I still wouldn't get my license till I think 2010. I don't drive at all now. I learned the hard way, by gettin pulled over getting my car towed and a ticket. I racked them tickets up in less then a year.
