We want to enter into Global Import Car Show this year. For those who dont know it's a big car show in the tacoma dome hosted by kube 93.3. Theres trophies, and money given out at the end if you win. You get to show your car off, get pictures with models, with you and your car. Last year NOS Energy gave out drinks, shirt, and misc. Baby Bash performed also. But who would be interested in entering their car under Elite Auto Sport...

Im going to have a booth for Excelerator again, depending on when the show is I may have the 350z back from the newest build.

I hope they go back to drawing more imports since it is "Global-Import Car Show". But over the last few years there have been more lowriders and SUV's then imports. Many of the clubs wont show there because of the judging and damage to peoples cars during the show from the past years.

Corey said they were going to change some stuff up but we will see...

What is the registration cost? I wouldn't enter my car to something like this in worry of damage or something getting stolen, or it getting pin pointed and jacked. It's been stolen once already. Won't happen again ;)

In the past it has been $40-50 and that gets you and a guest into the show.

Its $50 a car and you got two wrist bands, and a big bag of NOS the energy drink stuff.. We didnt have anything happen to our cars.. We had the open wheel, both the subies, 2 evos, and a race bike.. I think this year we are bringing in the race trailer, both subies, and the open wheel again, and whoever elses car.. Dustin won best race/drift car.. I posed on the open wheel and the STI...

Ya i will keep everyone informed once they post the date i will let ya know.. last year we stayed in a hotel and i think we are doing that again this year.. Since you have to enter your cars the day before, so we put some cars and the bike in the race trailer and drove the truck down..

They are the sponsor of it but they do not put on the car show, they mainly deal with the music....very bad music LOL

I spoke to the organizer today, he said that Import Motion is not happening this year and they will have the Global date within the next month or so....

Yeah the economy is screwing with a lot of events. With HIN going bankrupt and being sold last year thats proof enough. NCCA isnt even judging the events they are having so things may be wacky at the HIN's that are planned.

NOOOO!!! AUGUST 15TH IS VANS WARPED TOUR SEATTLE!!! *Bites the Bullet* I don't want to miss Excelerator!

Formula D this year is August 7-8th. August 6th is the Evergreen Drift Invitational (Locals mix with pros). HIN was a week before FD, perfect timing! Andy brought the rig into town a week before FD, setup the booth and had all the Drift Alliance guys rocking. I love working in booths!

Yep, venue is already secured. Plenty of indoor and outdoor parking....

I am still considering throwing a show in this area, I have serveral venues that are basiclly offering space for free if I did a show for them. Right now priority is on Excelerator in Seattle. With all the shows in the market being canceled and over 70% of my attendees coming from that area I would be crazy to not jump on this.

Well I will decide soon if Im going to do 2 this year, I will keep you posted it I have one in Spokane or CDA. Hopefully you can come support the Seattle one either way:)

The price is $50 A car, you get a wrist band one extra.. Certain cars that are chosen all the entry fees will be paid for, and the rest under Elite will be split..

Yea I talked to a girl that was part of their promotions team... she was currently laid off and said there was going to be no Global as of current conditions. She did mention something about Kube, Kiss and some other radio stations possibly talking about a merge. Sounds to me that either The Clear Channel is picking up Kiss or CBS is picking up Kube, in turn possibly having a bigger budget then MAYBE a Global Import Show. I kinda doubt it since theres nothing on the Tacoma Dome site or on Kube's site about it.
