Nice purchase for the price. I'd love a decent 4x4 project. I miss my old 4x4 beater :(

honestly not planning on doing anything to it as of yet... due to some drama i NEEDED a vehicle badly so that i don't lose my job, and this was the first thing that popped up... first thing that i am doing, is the standard "bought a used car" service... i.e. oil change, tranny flush, coolant flush, plugs, wires, air filter, etc...

Cool dude. I almost bought an '89 Cherokee before winter as my winter rig, but the girl sold it before I could buy it. Lame.

You got the 4.0 H.O. right? What rear end do you have under it? D35 or the ChryCo 8.25?

Does the bottom of the differential have a small "squared off" area to it or is it completely smooth/round?

Then you have the D35. Law Enforcement package you said. Is it an old Forest Service or INS rig?

not sure... only reason i found that out was when i called barton to try to order the fan shroud... oddly enough, they had it in stock! gave them the VIN and they showed me where it said "police option package"... now i need to a) figure out what agency and b) figure out just what that option package included...
