well i think that they were just havin fun on the road, but regardless, that shouldnt have happened, you could see the driver almost lost it a corner or two earlier, with that car if i couldnt hack it, id back off. the car was an innocent bystandard. on or off the track, the driver shouldnt have pushing it harder than he could handle and should be hung

Yeah I completely agree with the posts above, he almost lost it a few times before that too.
Streetracing -- bad. Even though it looks like they picked a decent time for a spirited drive, they were definitely hitting some unsafe speeds and driving in the wrong lane around blind corners.
ONTO THE DRIVING
The guy in the Evo was a phenomenal driver. It looks like he could have pushed his car harder, but was at least giving the GTR a chance to keep up. Evo guy picked great lines, accelerated at just the right points. Great driving.
GTR guy was terrible. He was all over the road, and trying to use his car to make up for his lack of driving skill. Probably some rich guy with a lot of money, but no driving skill. Considering how he was pushing his car too hard -- he deserved to have it taken away.
I've watched Dustin (EliteAutoSport) tell guys in cars with 100-200 MORE HP/TQ to slow down, and NOT try to keep up with him on Chuckanut. I tried once and I failed, badly. Dustin is a great driver and driving skill will ALWAYS come out in top over power/torque numbers.

The guy in the GTR was trying to catch up on the straight aways instead of focusing on the corners. Looks like he kept gunning it, then just sucked at that last corner.
If I could afford a new GTR... Well right off the bat I wouldn't buy one if I didn't have enough talent to drive it.

I dont know how many corners i watched and puckered cause he was braking to late or at wrong line. He's lucky that THE CAR saved him in a few corners. Any other car and he would have lost it long time ago. Best way to become a great driver, race a slow car!! You'll be suprised at what you learn with a slow car.
Things brings up a story...
Part of the Hot Rod U program at UTI was a class for modern hot rodding...part of it we focused on modern handling and what changes really make a difference. A full day was spent on Forza as a learning tool. The idea was to choose a stock car (chose a R34) , race it on a track (chose Laguna Seca ) stock, then modify within allowed points which I now can't remember what. Well of course, most of us focused on power more than suspension. I rembmer i did like tires and brakes, then added probably 150hp. to make long story short, I was faster stock than I was modified cause I could keep a smooth steady racing line and handling was predictable. Felt a little retarded but I knew right away what the problem was, over confident and thought i NEEDED power to go fast.
