2001 Toyota Echo Coupe

My current car is a 2001 toyota echo. I know that most people don't like it, but I do, and that is what is important

Engine Bay:
added Hotchkis Tuning strut tower bar
also added Optima Red Top

Engine:
84,000 miles
bone stock except for a K & N drop in air filter

Exterior:
just some basic wheels(bought a set of Ultra wheels @ the junkyard)

Interior:
just a basic clarion deck
bazooka sub that came with the car
basic tint

yes to manual, no to stock tach, looking at maybe doing a HUD for a tach and a speedo in better line of sight

Yeah dude. I've got a '91 Festiva that didn't have a stock tach, so I installed one.

The reason I usually go with external tachs is it's less of a hassle. From what I've seen.


Btw, debadging basically 1-UPS any vehicle. All mine're debadged. :D

while on the subject of debadging, when i am done, the only original badge will be on the hood... on the rear will be a vinyl toyota logo color matched to the embedded section of the tint, blown up and nothing else back there

Careful of the extreme dimensions body kits they don't fit very well, but that kit does give it kind of a RSX look.

what sucks is that it is the only kit available... havent found any other kits, but i have found it from other brands, so i will try to grab the best version... any suggestions on which brand? they were all the same type of kit, just different manufacturers... unless anyone here can find a different kit

I went to your CarDomain thing, and looked at the link to the body kit. That is uber fancy, if you do something like that you'll have to be careful of road debris and and sidewalks. :S Trust me, I know. They're fragile.

Yea the Extreme Dimensions kits don't fit well at all. If you buy it have a bodyshop put it on you will be happy in the long run although you will have to pay the cash to get it fitted properly.

that's the plan anyway... put the kit on when i repaint... that way color match is easier

i could possibly swap in a 3a gte out of the celica, that would come with a 6 speed manual... but i kinda decided to make this all show no go... my next car will be go... planning on an 87 supra that a friend of the family is selling...

what i want to do if i just swap trannys with a 2004-07scion XB is just drop in, here are the gears for that...

note that the only difference is the final drive, and the motor is the same(1nz-fe) so it should be an easy swap...

well if thats the cazse put an xD 2.4L in it and we'll stop givong you shit, and swapping the tranny just for a final drive when everthing is stock would be completely useless

ok changed the plan for the debadge, but the removal is complete... left the "cowboy hat" emblem on, but removed all other badges...

Most things look better debadged, IMHO. If there was a decent delete kit, I'd lose the trunk badge. It's all fuckered up anyway. Came that way. And the trunk key has never fit the trunk lock, for some reason. Maybe I'll ask Body By Scotty to take a look and see what it would take to remove. Maybe they can PhotoShop some pics so I could see what it will look like.
