Tell me about it. I've got a shit ton of driving to do tomorrow for work. I'll have about 450 miles in tomorrow by 10:30 pm. Fail!!
silver_echo

at least most of your driving is probably gonna be on highways and those are plowed... i gotta drive delivery for a chinese food place mostly back roads not plowed
but you drive a car that looks like a 4x4 i sit 2 inches off the ground...i have a fucking plow

Either way, I hate driving in the snow. And last night on my way up north, I saw quite a few deer. Then in Chelan, I saw a big horned sheep, imagine hitting one of those sunsabitches! They like to headbutt the shit outta other sheeps.
But, on a good note, I'm getting drunk! I win!

I wanna see a Dodge Ram get hit head-on by a bighorn sheep. Give him a real Ram ornament.
My tires are practically slicks. I need a set of Nitto 555s, yesterday. DO I have $300 sitting around, right before Christmas? No. It's all earmarked funds.

I'm sure it isn't there for good yet! But I last minute garaged my car....

Nah, no driving drunk for me.
So, it's 5:20 am, I have to get up for work at around 9, get some stuff done before I head off and I have the WORST case of acid reflux I've EVER had in my life. That shit I drank is killing me. I think I keep coughing up pieces of my esophagus. Note to self, don't drink that shit again.
JetBlack
11-28-2008, 07:18 AM
LOL! Take that esophagus!!!
All that food ganged up and launched a counterattack?
90LXCB7
11-28-2008, 10:50 AM
Nah, the food was great. It was the Costco sized can of fruit punch Four and the normal size can of citrus Four that kicked my ass. Holy shit. Steer clear of that stuff, it tastes awful, but, it fucks you up. I'd compare it to... MD 20/20.

I fucking knew it. I ordered tires this morning, from Discount Tire and not ten minutes later, the snow started dumping. WTF?!?! If I cancel the order, will it stop?
If I wash the car, we will have record setting rains.
If I order tires, it snows so I can't get them installed.
Cursed.

My kingdom for studs. They don't make them for my wheels. Pfff. It's a conspiracy, against Mustangs. There are only about five tires available for my wheels and mostly, thank goodness, they are W-rated or better.
When someone says "Yeah, but how often are you going to go above 168MPH?" I say "I want zero surprises at that speed... zero. Especially from my tires."
I am sure they make more than 5 tires for your wheel a 17x9 really isn't big.
JetBlack
11-29-2008, 12:12 AM
I am sure they make more than 5 tires for your wheel a 17x9 really isn't big.
Look on Discounttire.com or tirerack.com for 255/50-17 or 285/45-17. Stock size is 235/55-17, but on an 8" rim so that size makes for "sporty" handling, on rutted roads. Which, in the NW, abound. 255 is the smallest and I can go as wide as 315, in the back, but I can't picture a tire that wide and I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap or fun in the snow. I probably wouldn't be putting enough PSI on the snow, to make tracks, much less get traction.
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/search ... =17&cs=255 (http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/searchTiresBySize.do?r=WAEINT%7Cpc%7C83814&ar=50&rd=17&cs=255) and they don't make the BFGs anymore :( That leaves three options, except I found the Nittos. I heard the 450 makes so much noise, on the roads, that your girlfriend will know you are coming over way before you get to her house. She can hear your tires coming.

90LXCB7

Haha, there ya go. Leave the summer tires on, strap some chains on them shits and prepare for the ride of your life. I so hope we don't get a shit ton of snow this year like we did last year. Although, I did fairly well in my 92 Accord with just normal tires on it.

We've got 40 degree weather still goin on here too.
There is a saying for the weather in eastern Washington... "if ya don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes, it'll change"
If I'm not mistaken, we had snow the first day of spring this year, how stupid is that?!?! we can have -20 in the winter and 110+ in the summer, how's that for a temp change?
MetaEnder
12-02-2008, 06:53 PM
WELL right now we're topping out at 30 degrees and getting down into the 15-20 range for lows at night.
But it's clear, so there's no precipitation. :P

Well, last night it jumped from 20 degrees to 32, snowed 8 inches, and now it's leveled off at about 37 degrees.
C.A.I.'s suck up a lot of water up here, which is why I'll probably get a S.R.I.

Another thing is, we're on the coast, so we get weird "warm" weather changes from the ocean more than people who live inland. Our summer is wet, and our winter is slushy versus like Fairbanks, which is in the interior, it's like -40 there right now, but in the summer it can push a hundy! Nuts.

Very much like Washington... Seattle... Very rainy... Cascades, snowy, cold. Eastern Wa, Dry and cold. But in the summer eastern wa is dry and hot... Seattle can be moderately warm... some summers.

Yeah, last year every time I'd look out the window it was like "Oh look. Snow."
13 degrees and snowing now. The Mustang made it 25 miles through 7 inches of snow. Woot! I took pics of the marks in the snow where I was dragging the undercarriage. The tailpipes were inches above the snow. But I guess that's the case no matter how far they are away....
Like saying "JetBlack has one of the fastest Mustangs in the world!"
Technically, the very slowest Mustang is ONE of the fastest. In fact, it's the last fastest.

My exhaust tips were just above the snow yesterday and if it continued snowing like the weather channel said it was going to, I am scrod.
Jon, that's bad ass! Snow plowin'.... I had to do some running around yesterday and those chunks of snow that fall off cars suck! You can hear them hit stuff under your car.

Has anyone seen a plow? This stuff plows great but I can't say I have seen one single snowplow, since the first snowfall, last year. Fourth street is not plowed. Fifth is not. All the 4x4s are out having fun though. I saw a Jeep having to slow down because the snow was deeper than the front bumper so it pushed it up over the windshield.
Unfortunately, I saw this in front of my house.
over here in spokane i have. on my way home last night at 1030 they had 4 plows going down division, they pretty much had it closed down...spokane is shutting down.

I think I am going to call my girlfriend and catch up on my video gaming. Maybe rewatch some dvds, read, cook and generally veg out.
I started shovelling and pretty much gave up halfway through. I took about 8 breaks and was still tired. Screw the gym, everybody get out there and shovel! Tomorrow and the next day, I'll be all sore and looking at another 18 inches.
When I turned around and admitted defeat, I looked up and saw I had been laboring under a freaking huge snow pile on the roof. I am sure it was waiting for me to reach the end of my tether and not be able to carry on another single, miserable, exhausted step before, for maximum effect, it dumped it's entire snow-load down the back of my neck.
Since it didn't, I'll call that a tiny victory.
"victory!"
i just shoveled. it sucked.1 shovel width is all im givin em....i really did it cause i feel bad for the mailman...im gonna have to shovel every couple hours. i shoveled my car out just in case i absolutely have to go...but im sure ill get stuck if i get out there...

It is clear that the snowplow driver thinks I am the guy that fucked/impregnated/dumped/heartbroke his only daughter.
He has not been nice to me this year. Guess what Santa Plow brought me?
Somehow the snow he delivers to my truck and driveway is harder and much heavier than regular snow. I think he puts meteorites into my particular snow.
AND!!! I shit you not... I am scooping out my second- or third-to-last shovel of snow and a kid walking by asks if I need a hand with that.
"I am one scoop away from doing my victory dance and I need to hurry before the plow driver comes along and puts the cherry on top."
I know tomorrow morning, I will have to shovel again and then get a running start because I don't think I can see over the snow in my yard. I'll have to open the car door, look over in each direction, jump in and go, before someone comes along.
Hmmmmm. I wonder if I buried three or four of those CO2/water/2-liter-bottle bombs in the snow on my driveway and then went back in for some coffee.... [BOOM!!!] poof! Clear driveway?

You live on the wrong side of the Mountains if you like snow so much. It stays on this side for awhile, we actually get a winter. It's not as "nice" as you think. After the first 2-3 days of it, it begins to be a hassle, as it piles up, it just gets worse. You learn to hate it and want the 100 degree, dry pavement, weather back!

Same. Though, they are calling for 8-10 inches all said and done with this storm. We still have 1.5-2 ft on the ground. By Wednesday hopefully we will hit 40 and start melting this stuff. Walking on the yard and roof, if I'm really careful, I can stay on top and only sink a couple of inches! If I'm not careful enough, I do a one-legger up to my hip and have to wade back out. It must be four feet in the front yard.
It is coming down relentlessly here. Ugh, has to be close to 6-8 inches over night. I'm not going outside today till the mail comes!
