I got the engine today. Some of it was damaged. The harmonic balancer had pieces broken off of it. I expected some damage though. I took off the timing belt, and balance shaft belt, and water pump.

Here are the pictures so far.

Pulleys all back on, waiting for my Power Steering pulley to come Monday from Honda.

Took all the accessories out and put them on the H22A. Plenty of room for new motor.

I will have more pictures tomorrow hopefully after it is in and running (fingers crossed).

Old engine was pulled today. Took maybe an hour to get out.

Transferred the F22A harness to the H22A. Everything was self explanatory. The electrical harness for the injectors fit really tight, but it fit!

This is me just trying to look like i'm working.

This is me getting ready to feed the VTEC/Knock Sensor harness through the firewall.

Here comes the H22A, no more ERIK HP, lol.

Troubles that I encountered were. Bent power steering pulley, my dad fixed it by heating it up. I did order one from Honda, but we'll see if I can tell them its the wrong part ;) The new exhaust manifold does not bolt up to the fourth generation accord stock flex pipe. My dad re-drilled holes to make it bolt up.

Tomorrow involves checking the transmission oil and motor oil. And finishing the custom power steering line, half accord half prelude line ;) Other then that everything is almost ready to go. Just need to figure out what wire is the oil pressure wire on at the ECU.

You also must custom bend your fuel line to fit if you use the F22A fuel rail on the H22A throttle body.

These are taken from a post at my other site right after I did that swap. (July 2008) If you have questions feel free to ask. May not apply to your swap chassis.

It is definitely a lot quicker then it used to be. I do have a full leather interior, so it's still kind of heavy. :ihih:

your lucky you were able to keep your power steering. Not enough room for power steering in the Integra.

Pump was broken, I still haven't replaced it. I didn't want to pay $100 for the pulley so I told them it was the wrong one. ;)

5 speed is win :cornut: you would gain a significant amount of tq with it.

Aah yes, the h22. I've got one of these waiting to go in my 90 LX. I'm waiting for Honda in Wenatchee to call me so I can go pick up my timing belt and water pump. I'm hoping to start this swap next week. I can't wait.

Any other pointers you can give, Erik? Yours looked pretty straight forward

If the 90 Accord LX is anything like my 91 Integra, you will run into a few wiring problems.

OBD1 to OBD0 wiring harness works wonders. The problem that I'm running into is that the OBD0 didn't have the EGR and Knock sensor, so I'm throwing a few codes with the P13 ECU

Like me, you are going to have to get a OBD1 ECU i.e. P28 and get it chipped. After that you are going to have to tune the chip and disable the knock sensor.

I've got an obd1 p13 and I'm using the f22 wiring harness. I've got my harness for the VTEC solenoid, knock sensor and the VTEC pressure switch. I've figured out the pin layout for the ecu plugs. Just waiting for a couple parts
