ok so i got a obd2a p28 yesterday i was trying to wire up vtec. i switch A12 with A14 and disconnected A13. on my head there a one of the plugs with two wires and the other one just has one. the one that has two wires i believe is green and the other is black. is the black one ground and does the green go to the ecu? also all the mini me write up ive been looking at have been talking about a IACV is that behind the intake manifold?

Yes, that green wire goes to the ecu, and as you stated, the black is a ground.

You’ll need to run the blue wire (or whichever color is from the plug) to pin D6, and then run the black ground wire from the plug to anywhere on the motor. You then need to run the green wire from the VTEC solenoid to pin A4.

why D6? D6 is the knock sensor on the obd2a ecu and A4 is fuel injectors. wouldnt it be C15?

damnit. I thought you were talking about OBD1. Disregard previous statement.

I'l try to find something else later tonight when I have some time

its really frustrating cause we followed all the steps and stuff. but it was just idling really high and we i drove it around the block it was really sluggish wasnt really responding very well.

the code it was throwing was 1 long and like 5 or 6 short

how is that possible?

OBD2 codes you have to have a code reader and they are usually PXXXX codes

you stick one wire into that green thing by your ecu and it flashes the code its throwing at you.

so i figure what the problem is. i need a y8 intake manifold with a iacv and switch from 3 plug to a 2 plug. thats why its idling funny. i also found out i have a auto y8 intake manifold too. the difference is the iacv mount. im loving how much im finding out more and more about everything after i have started this mini me swap
