Don't use red threadlocker unless you want that bolt to stay there until the sun goes nova.

The instructions say to remove it you just have to heat the area to 450 degrees.

These instructions lie.

If I knew a nuclear blast was coming, but did not feel like moving, I would just coat my house in red threadlocker and it would be fine. Not only would he house be utterly glued in place, permanently, but also impervious to heat! There is no way something as weak and paltry as the firestorm and shockwave, caused by a muti-megaton bomb, would be anything like enough to dislodge a house held down with threadlocker red.

A soldering iron will not get 12mm bolts hot enough to move them. My next attempt will be to hook the ground clamp of my welder to the bolt head and put the stinger on the other end of the bolt, where it sticks out. It will be hard because the easiest way will be to have the welding rod right over my neck/chest. I say that because that's where the car rests, when on jackstands. I spend the whole time, under there, with my eyes crossed to try to see whatever I'm working on, because it's right above my nose.

If the welding rod melts, it will rain molten metal down on my flesh like a brief waterfall from hell. There will be that momentary pause while I assess the situation, followed by what my neighbors refer to as a "flurry of activity from under the car".

I get those in response to slag, hot fasteners and one time when I saw a big spider run across the inside of my respirator faceplate... while I was wearing it. Any spider that is that close to your eyes looks enormous and pretty much becomes the focus of all your attention for the next few moments.

Anyway... it is clear that threadlocker blue is your friend and works great. Threadlocker red is for permanent applications, practical jokes and placing drunken bets.

I had to do a timing belt on a Accord where they used red threadlocker on the crank bolt. Used a 3/4" impact gun trying to get it off. Broke the head of the crank bold off. Not a fun time. I'm just glad there was no one in the shop with me or else they would of been hit with flying tools

The crank pulley bolt on my F22 had thread lock on it, Honda is notorious for doing that. An impact gun would not get it off, so we had to use a jack for leverage and a couple extensions plus a breaker bar and a huge pipe on the breaker bar. Was no fun.

Yeah that shits got some muscle most definetly, at my work we use it to help hold loose bearings in wore out bearing fits. And when time comes to remove it, we gotta use an acetelyne torch with a rose bud tip . So jet how big of a bolt you tryin to bust loose ?? If you got one of them MAP gas torches or even one those propane torches , that might beable to produce enough heat to bust it loose, if it isn't no half inch sized bolt. Just a suggestion.

It's half inch but it's buried an inch into a flange, with a gasket on the back. In order to get to the gasket, I have to remove the bolts. Bolts are Lok-tite ed in. Well two out of eight are. The other six come right out.

I have propane, oxy-acetylene and good, old electricity. Swearing at it has only stunted my lawn and possibly increased it's resolve.

It has engaged my honor now.

hopefully, cause the mod i did to my cam magnet is what controls ignition timing, the only thing that sucks is i still have to fine tune, preferably with an ignition control device
