So I noticed my car was a little sluggish on take off a week ago. But it would only kind of stutter till i got to about 1500-2000 RPMS. Now it is getting worse. I will chug in first if i take off normal until about 2500 RPMS. Then when i hit 2nd it will do it a little. Any idea's of what it may be or what to check

do a tune-up.
Also, clean your throttle body. Make sure to get throttle body cleaner and not carb cleaner. It could have allot of carbon build up. Get some fuel injector cleaner as well.

A friend of mine just had the same issues with his Accord. It'd stutter at 1500 to about 1800, then it'd be fine. Sometimes after he'd been driving it, he'd shut it off and when he'd try to restart it, it'd start ok, then bog, then die. I think his problem was the internal o-ring in his distributor. We swapped it out with mine, he said he's had no problems.
So, check the distributor?
yeah im having that problem right now, i cleaned my fitv and iacv...started looking at it more and it looks like its my dizzy...gonna replace parts on it tonight and should be ok...so i check all those

Yeah I'd do a tune-up first off, like spark plugs, fuel filter, clean out the t/b IAC valve, do a valve lash, check the timing, cap and rotor, check the condition of your spark plug wires by checking there resistance, then I'd look towards the distributor. Other possible things could be your O2 sensor, old wore ignition coil, possible weak ground somewhere, plugged up catalatic converter. Are you throwing a check engine light? And I forgot what motor you got, its a D series if I remember right? OBD1?

So, I just got a text from dude, he said he took his dizzy apart, he said there was oil everywhere, as well as broken wires. We changed the normal o-ring, but, the inner one must of shit on him.
But, with my dizzy, everything seems to be doing fine.

Check the coil like mentioned if it's external.

The fuel filter, distributor, cap, rotor only have about a years worth of driving on them. Plugs have been in for about a year. Timing is brand new and was timed. Have had the valves adjusted. I think its in my throttle body. I'm gonna clean it sometime this week. just don't know when yet. I plan on getting new plugs to.

TPS maby, vacuum leak, plugs need to be re-gaped, clean the contact points on your Dist.. cap and rotor, check all your grounds "head, block, tranny, batt" fuel pressure regulator, dirty fuel injector.. theres some things to check but theres so many diffrent things it could be its really hard to say.

yeah i am going to spend a day with a test light and volt meter and pretty much check every possible component. We are going over electrical in class and i am fascinated by it now
