I've had the DropZone sleeve overs (PN# DZ-CO1001) on the del Sol since I bought the car. IMO don't let anyone nay say these to you unless they have direct experience with them and only then if they used the DZ struts with them too.
This suspension, for its money, is actually quite good. It lowers down to 3" comfortably and as long as you use DZ struts/shocks the system starts stiff and remains stiff even after years of driving.

These springs/struts are a little over 5 years old and yes they're rusty (DZ obviously didn't spring for expensive powder coating), but that hasn't had any noticeable effect on the handling. The ride is stiff even after all these years; maybe a little too stiff for most people's tastes, but it is lowered 3" after all.
To sum up, I would encourage going for a complete coilover set as I will be doing shortly, but if you're on a budget and just want to get the car to look a little sleeker (and perform a little better) then the DropZone sleeve overs will suit just fine.
P.S. You'll definitely need a camber kit too, which DZ supplies as well.
