i am royally fucked. perfect timing. on top of me being broke as hell, i drove to work to pick up my buddy from work and give him a ride home cause his head gasket, radiator, and alternator all blew at the same time. my charging light comes on and my alternator wont stop screeching. then after waiting a min for him to get off we go out to my car and the oil lights on. so i move the car and there was a large amount of oil on the snow. then i turn my heater on and it smells like motor. im fucked, royally.

Or it could be antifreeze in your oil from a blown head gasket or cracked block from the cold.

I can understand if the JDM part is better performance wise, or if you like a couple of the parts off of your cars JDM counterpart a bit more. But buying something simply because its JDM seems so silly to me. And people talking about how JDM something is like it's a damned coolness scale. Ugh.

I agree. lol. I used to be all about the JDM scene when I had my Civic, but I wizened up and realized it did NOTHING for the direction I wanted to take my car. Ended up buying the WRX and hating the Civic -- sold the civic with an awesome B16 swap for $3500 to some chump down south just to get rid of it. Now the only JDM thing I want for my WRX is the hoodscoop because mine is too small for the TMIC I'm running :(

The armrest is functional, at least. But spending hundreds, even THOUSANDS of dollars on the "right" taillights, headlights (I had JDM headlights with the city lights and my beam pattern was TERRIBLE, lol) lips, skirts, blah blah blah. It's just too much money for a car that in the end, is still a car that most of the enthusiast community immediately relates to a highschooler.

DISCLAIMER: THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WHO AREN'T IN HIGHSCHOOL WHO DRIVE HONDAS. I KNOW. A couple of guys local to me in their 30's have crazy Civics and Integra Type R's pushing 500-600HP and are absolutely crazy. These guys are the diehards. Money is not an option and they don't drive like tools on most of the roads. They have respect because they own one of the best shops in the area. Anywho. /rant.

i have the JDM headlights for the Integra too. They are the 1 piece, instead of having 3 different pieces. Looks allot cleaner.

I do agree though. Spending thousands on JDM is ridiculous. Although I am looking at getting the JDM glass for my Integra, because it is bronze glass. Looks 100x better than getting the windows tinted

ok i am sick of the idiot drivers in this town... earlier tonight i was getting on to I-90 westbound from pines, merged into "traffic"(all two other vehicles), then had some idiot in a dodge dakota pass me in the merge lane from behind me almost hitting me, swerved, tires lost traction, slid into the center wall... left side totally thrashed, will not even drive... and on top of this, because i was the only vehicle damaged in any way, state patrol cited me for neg 2($550)... now i am both without vehicle to get to work and work in(i drive delivery), and i have to pay the ticket and my deductible, and oh yeah, on top of it all, i still have not received financial aid for fall quarter(started sep 21st), my laptop gets to go visit with HP tech support, and i have no idea as to when any of this gets resolved... FML

I can imagine how you feel. Sickening. Just get it fixed and try to move on. It doesn't look like any of the support structures got shifted, so after the fixes, it *should* still drive the same. I have heard stories about people getting their car back and it is never the same.

the fender support on the driver's side is bent, slightly... also, notice how the left front tire sits... the wheel is no longer connected to the strut... i would have to remove the tire to find out what broke...

Take it to a good shop. you will be amazed with what they can do with a frame rack. honestly doesn't look to bad. but thats my 2 cents. i have a feeling insurance might total it. echo's dont have a high blue book and u can expect if your estimate is 70-80% of average blue book it will get totalled.

But you can sometimes make a deal with a used car dealer. Tell them you'll give them $500 over what they spend at the auction for [fill in the name of the car].

So say you total your new $30K car. Tell the dealer you will give them $30K for the best BMW they can get you, at the auction, that cost them $25K.

They make $500 for half an hour of work and you get a (used) $40K car, for $25K.
