damn dude, that angle makes that jaguar look good...

JetBlack

It looks pretty sweet from any angle. It's one of the only cars that, to me, doesn't look crappy from some direction. It's raked forward, crouching over the front wheels, like it wants to run.

Classic Jaguar.

I would have to say miss_vtec has got this one in the bag. JetBlack, your entries were too old ;) But the clarity was awesome on them, and I did like them.

miss_vtec gets to create the next photo assignment thread for the first half of June.

Criticisms to miss_vtec, I would try playing in Manual mode. It is by far the best mode to use when shooting still photography. I learned it through purchasing an old manual focus lens (yeah, one that doesn't auto-focus by itself) It's amazing how learning with a manual lens makes using the auto focus lenses much easier. It gives you a better grasp of exposure, aperture settings, etc.

Shooting in direct day light is a photographers worst nightmare, and makes it difficult to shoot. What I do is shoot a few under exposed and a few that come up normal looking on the screen of the camera.

I liked your idea of shooting the reflection off the glasses, very cool. When shooting be aware of the surroundings (trees, lines on the road, curbs, etc.)

Congrat's miss_vtec!

Yeah, she wins. Mine were taken with a ten year old 3.1MP point-n-shoot-n-curse-n-swear-n-vowtoneverbuyoneagain.

It's always taken great pics. Hint: try the "high speed" or "action" setting, if you are not using a tripod. It eliminates blur from hand wiggles.

Yay! Thanks guys! I just got that camera so I'm still learning. Next time I'll go out and mess around with the manual settings.
So.. when do I create the next assignment?

erik

Create it sometime today as it will be done by the 15th of June ;)

Lisa gave me back her Nikon D70 and I am supposed to be selling it on eBay. When I see some of these pics, I really want to play with it. If you see the reflections from my 3.1MP, imagine how they would have looked with a 10.0 or a 12.0?
