I had the opputunity to go down to Seattle and detail a buddies new car, and meet a guy from a detailing forum. He needed a bit of direction on how to properly polish and detail -- so I hijacked some of Elite Auto Detailing' equipment, and some of the Tom's (The guy from the detailing forum) equipment and went to town!

After a wash:

The paint wasn't in terrible shape, it had a few scratches here and there:

Now I taped the car off with two helpers tagging along:

Me Claying:

I put the owner to work and showed him how to claybar:

After Clay shots:

This is about where we got pressed for time, pictures had to stop as we only had about 4 hours to fully polish and finish up the car.

Polishing:

All in all it was about 6 hours of work, with me working on it 100%, and them jumping in and out as I let them/had time to instruct. Tom did help a ton with polishing. It would have been an 8 hour job if he wasn't there to learn about polishing then help. With a little instruction, he was a natural!

It's not the same engine as the STi. Just the same transmission minus the DCCD. No Brembos either. Different turbo. :(

It's missing quite a few things the STi has, but is still an amazing car and I'm very glad he picked one up. We looked around for over a month!
