From a professional standpoint, this is considered a lower end "All purpose" carnuba that we may use on something like a Honda Accord, Acura TSX or something where the customer isn't really picky/particular about the kind/quality of wax that we use.
From a consumer review, I can see why this would be considered "expensive" when compared to an over the shelf wax such as NXT 2.0 or others. Let me bunk a few myths right now. With a paste/jar wax, you WILL get more uses out of it. You simply use less. I've used Lusso Oro on 20ish cars and MAYBE used half the pot. It goes THAT far. The durability on Oro WILL be better than on NXT. NXT 2.0 really doesn't last very long at all, 2 weeks, maybe a couple rains and it's completely gone. I used Oro on my fiancee's car before we got all the rain and it's STILL beading great and protecting the finish really well. It's been just about 2 months since I applied it to her car.
You can apply 2 coats of Oro. Unlike many "creme" or liquid waxes, you can apply multiple coats of many paste wazes. The liquid waxes need more solvents and chemicals to bond to the paint's surface, while a paste wax has the carnuba content and a few oils to help with slickness and shine. If you tried to apply 2 coats of a liquid wax, the solvents from the newest layer would remove the entire previous layer as you apply it, so that's entirely wasted effort. Lusso Oro can be applied over itself, as long as you give it time to cure. "Spit-Shining" or the process of using a spray bottle with COLD water to mist a panel as you apply the second coat will yield even better results, as you harden the previous layer with the cold water -- allowing it to cure better.
As with all waxes, do no apply Lusso Oro in direct sunlight, this will not allow it to break down well at all, and cause weird hazing as well as sweating.
Because Lusso Oro does not provide the same shine and durability as a higher end wax, I'm only going to give it a 7/10. But for the price I think you cannot beat it. It also smells delicious like coconuts!
Application tips: APPLY THIN. REALLY THIN. So thin you will think you're not getting any on there and barely see it. Swipe your applicator across the surface of the Oro, then apply Oro to the car. you'll see it, but just barely. Less is more!
Apply one panel at a time. Once you finish the panel, wipe it off. Some people can do the entire car then buff it off -- I've done both and it doesn't matter much. It's a bit easier to come off when you go panel by panel.
