need help with a 240sx swap

hey guys i just bought a 240sx it currently has a ka24e sohc and i bought from my buddy a ka24de dohc engine and 5 speed trannsmission what elso do i need to ginsh the swap any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't know Nissan very well, but I would think that you might need to either do some wiring or get a DE harness. Another thing to check into is if the ecu you have will work or if you will need to source a new one.

You could also check out Nissanpacific.com and see if they have any build threads on there that might help you out.

you need the cluster, power steering stuff/if you want it/, harness, ecu, prolly some other stuff im forgetting

u will need a new DOHC ECU, DOHC wiring harness, and a DOHC tach gauge....was the 240 a 5 speed 2 begin with??? if so then u didnt really need the new trans. but its good 2 have a spare....if the 240 was an auto you will need that trans. along with a new 5 speed driveshaft and the rest of the 5 speed swap (ie. clutch pedal, trans. master cylinder, trans. crossmember, ect.).....u will also need new power steering lines bcuz the SOCH and DOCH engines have different set-ups....thats all i can think of off the top of my head....if i remember anything else later i will post it

not sure about the cooling systems on Nissan's, but if it was a auto, make sure to plug the auto cooler line holes that are in the radiator.
