This car was booked for just a wash/clay/wax but I wanted to document it anyways. Just got a D60 today.

My photography is not what it once was due to a few key factors:
1) I used to shoot with Canons
2) I haven't shot in a while
3) I was rushed for time today

Anywho, this car is garaged daily and is mostly a track rat. It only comes out for road course events, the occasional Auto-X and maybe a fun run down Chuckanut Drive

Anywho. Here is the car when we pulled it out of the garage

In fairly good condition, mild contamination but not much. Foamed it down with CWG and CWC

Dried

As SOON as I get the car dried, of course it starts raining, so we pulled it inside.
This car received one coat of JetSeal109 then a coat of RBOE at the owner's request.

Got kinda pressed for time at this point, so I rushed it along.

Here's the final result! Sorry I had to use the flash, light was being funny in the shop and the garage wasn't letting enough in.

And he was interested in having me polish, so I took this shot just to have a reference for what I was up against come that day.

Nice work on the car. I love those 911s. I found one on craigslist, it was a turbo with some performance goodies for only $8K. But that was shortly after I bought my Sol...

nice work Ty.

I would love to see what you could do to my Integra, but Bellingham is a bit too far

How much did you charge for all that? I kinda bugs me when people wax without polishing first, especially after they clay bar'd.

No trim detailing?

This was a 3 hour mini-detail. Polishing takes a lot of time and costs a lot of money -- the owner simply wanted it cleaned up for the summer. He's interested in having me polish it after the track season is over.

The difference in price is hundreds of dollars -- so not everyone polishes.

AND, polishing all the time is NOT a good thing. You remove clearcoat (albeit just a few microns) but over time you will remove enough. I would only compound a card 2 times it's life because that can remove 10 microns in one go. Normal/light polishing really only removes a few microns.

And I did some light trim touchups. The customer just wanted to see what kind of work I can do. When I have some openings in the second week of July he's going to see if he can afford a full detail on that bad boy.
