Hoosier A6

these will be strickly track tires unless i get another car so i have something to drive in the rain.

i dont know if theyll be strickly track tires or if ill just run them all the time.
i was also wanting anyones experience imput on heat treating and shaving.
any other recomendations on tires ill take. i was alos wondering if it would be better to stick with my 16's on 50 series or drop to a 45. or even go to a 17" with 45's. i know the smaller and lighter the rim the more torque and forward grip you get, but would i be sacrificing roll at all with a 50 series. pretty much just asking experienced people what tire rim combo would be best for autocross, i should have plenty of power when i get there so im not going to be worring about an ultra light rim too much.

My personal experience with the Nitto NeoGen tire was awesome.

Especially for the price. I had them on my 17's and they were the 40 series tire. The ride was a bit rough, and if I purchased them again I would go 45.

Cornering in wet/dry was 4/5.... I'm usually pretty aggressive in corners.

As for autocross, I'm no pro, I've never done it. But I would suggest those before spending $200 a tire. :(

45 seems to make more sense for Autocross, and keep the smaller wheel.

What all would you like to know about tire's ive been beating the crap out of many diffrent racing tires for all most 7-years now..

i run the hoosiers on my sti if you had 17"s id give you a crap load of my slightley used ones i got laying around..

Out of the three you picked the Hoosier is the best all around for track Yokohama tires tend to only really be good for the first 5-6 laps then starting going away more and more the KDW's are desent least grip out of the three tires but they ware down quick also..

The Toyo RA1 is a nice tire also they last a desent amount of time but if you shave them down there more sticky but dont last as long..

Nitto INVO is a nice sticky tire for road and track use also and there not to spendy i think they were like 175 or 180 a tire for my 18X8.5 ..

Hit up www.discounttire.com (http://www.discounttire.com), enter your tire selections and click on "Reviews".

One of my decisions were made because the tires made so much noise, almost everyone mentioned it. In fact, I noticed a trend. If they had a truck, they loved the tires and they were quiet. On a car, they were so noisy, people seemed like they were going to get violent about it.
