Curious about first bike

So I've been looking into buying a supermoto bike as my first street legal bike... I use to ride dirtbikes all the time and have an 80 150 and 250 so I'm not a complete noob to motorcycles although I know riding on the street is a lot different.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with any motards that could answer some questions or tell me how you like them.... More specifically I've been looking at the drz400sm but have been kinda reading that they're pretty lacking in power for a 400 and I love the husqvarna aprilia's and ktm's, but everything I read said those are mostly just track bikes made street legal with a ton of maintenance and rebuilds... Is there anything inbetween or do you think I would a newer drz400sm would be the best way to go or really go all out and get an aprilia or husqvarna?

he wants a super moto, not a street bike.

they are like a dirt bike with street tires basically.

Ugh, not supermoto. Not great on dirt not great on the street. You have dirt bikes already, why would you take a supermoto on the dirt? To have less fun? Flush that.

Get a street bike for the street. Dirt bike for the dirt. Not a dirt bike for the street. You'll never be happy with that.
