VTR Performance

Here is a little background on me and VTR. I have been working on cars and engines for over 20 years. I started helping my Dad and brother tear down our motorcycle engines and rebuild them when I was only 6 years old. My Dad was a very succesful Motocross racer. As I got older I started working on small block Chevy's alot. I still love the sound of a built V8!
Ten years ago I started Vison Tints +. I focused first on the window tinting aspect and the "+" was auto accessories. As time went on and we added more and more performance oriented products we decided to shorten the name and make it sound more aggressive. VTR is short for Vision Tints Racing. We still have very strong roots in window tinting as that was the base we started from, but we have expanded into many more areas including full custom audio, and an expanded performance division.
At VTR we have done several engine swaps/ rebuilds and tranny swaps. Our last tranny swap was an STi 6 speed into a 03 WRX wagon. We work on a wide variety of cars with an emphasis on imports, particularly Subaru's, Mitsubishi's, Honda's and though not technically an import the SRT4.
If you've come in and asked for help in gaining more power on your car I probably asked you what your end HP goal is. I like to know where you want to go and what kind of budget you want to work within. Gaining HP does not have to cost a fortune. I normally suggest people start with the basics. Get the engine breathing in and out more effeciently, with an intake and exhaust. From there it might be a downpipe and headers depending on the car and tuning is always critical to getting the most out of the parts you put on your car.
Most of all I just want to give everyone a place they can go and trust that the advice we are giving you is for your benefit, and we are not out just to make a quick buck. We have been around for 10 years for a reason and if you ask around I think you'll find we have a good reputation.
Working on cars is truly a passion for all of us at VTR and we are grateful for the oppurtunity to work on yours. I hope any questions you have we can answer quickly and to your satisfaction.
Thank you,
