my 2.4 has more torque than hp. its not technically an import, but it is the same basic setup. i think stock is 140hp and 160lbs.

I actually thought that The Fast and the Furious and Tokyo Drift were alright movies. The car sounds in the first movie were GARBAGE and ALL of their decals were ricey as fuck. But otherwise they were nice cars. :)

i say meet up for a little while before the movie, maybe get the movie theater involved, they might give us a discount on the movie tickets if we can get a group together and maybe get a group rate... or maybe the manager will want to try to use us to advertise the movie, and if they do that we can negotiate with said manager for a price break...

its not up to the theater its up to their corporate. because you have to realize they have to have people there to sell the tickets sell food clean up, run the projector have a manager...it costs a lot to keep them late...its easier to just wait and see who is gonna play it...tell you all which one we are going to..then ill go to another one.

Yeah, Colfax to Spoke alone is an hour at 65mph so Pullman to Spoke would be an about hour 20.

Make the trip regardless. The Pullman/Moscow theaters suck anyway.

Then when 2fast2furious came out, paul walker was "2furious" about how the last movie responded with the true import fanatics and went about purchasing an R34 for himself and educated himself more on the scene. His limited interaction with the production made the choice of cars and some of the stuff on them less ricey than the first movie, but it still left alot to be desired.

Then the third movie came out and by that time, everyone involved with the technical aspects on the cars had to be extremely well versed and hand selected on what should be done to the cars and the cars themselves. They did a good job because they actually went with some well-established tuning companies and got their company cars for some of the scenes as a testimate to their dedication to the purists.

Now for this fourth movie, the cars should be even better from what I've read. I heard that Paul Walker personally demanded in the contract that none of the main character cars have any sort of vinyl graphics on them, which is a notorious carry-over from the first three movies and one that purists will shout "rice!" at in an instance. That's not saying we won't hear vinyl graphics, but not from the main cars at least.

Also, computer graphics were demanded to be as limited as possible and in doing so, this will prove to the audience that these cars can do what is being shown. That's also why over 100 cars were destroyed to make every shot just right.

I think the movie will be worth it. I agree that you should see it for the simple fact of it being a movie and not view it as a documentary. These producers aren't stupid and know that every movie on a specific subject better be as factual as possible to attract every last movie-goer.

And to tell you the truth, I think some of you want to see it just to try to pick apart the movie to see what you can make fun of, so either way, they've got your $9

I'll see it on the 4th to avoid the ricers in the parking lot doing burnouts on the night of the 3rd, haha""

I got there at 11 and they were already letting people in and there was a huge line so I prolly wouldn't have been able to get in either. Oh well, no big. It was an excuse to drive the Sol so I'm not complaining. ;-)
