SRT-4 Version will have a little over 300whp and be around 25,000 bucks. Production is suppose to start in 2011. and btw since im dong my final research paper on SRT for ENGR-204A, i found out chrysler will not cut SRT period and out of the thousands and thousands of layoff, not a single layoff or pay cut has happened to any of the 120 SRT workers!

Not coming to production, it was a concept a few years ago, back when Dodge had less debt and wasn't owned by the government lol.
Here it is at the 2008 portland auto show

Poor man's Viper? lol
I don't like the look at all. But then again, I'm picky when it comes to convertibles for some reason.... I wonder if they'll do a hard top version??

yea, chrysler says its a cheap car with some viper dna in it, its suppose to be the vipers little brother. who cares how it looks, i think it looks pretty good, but you cant pass up that performance for that price

Watch meh. I can have my car mid-engine, RWD and beyond 300hp for less than 15K.

Haha yeah, that always comes up.
As for the car, I know convertibles are good for weight reduction, but if they came out with a hard top for it that looked decent I'd probably be more interested. Not a huge fan of convertibles and soft tops. Need me a nice sloping rear winder.
I just puked in my mouth a little bit. The Dodge front looks photoshopped onto a 350z/S2000 mix. Ugly.

I was going to say the same thing. The front end and head lights resemble the s2000, the tail, maybe an Audi?

negative. Convertibles are usually heavier because of all the reinforcing they have to do.

correct, but i believe they used similar technologies from mercedes like they did with the crossfire to keep it rigid, so it is still pretty heavy. hell travis said his Z3 2 seater roadster weighed like 3600 lbs

Good to know! Ha. I guess that makes sense, they need more frame reinforcement because of the missing top.
In that case. I wanna see a hard to! Ha. I think the rear is okay, the front end looks kinda weird on a coup small car. When I look at that front I think of a bigger car. The Viper kiiiiiiiind of looks like that if you squished it, ha, but this looks bullky.
Price is pretty nice IMHO though.

Look at the windshield in the three pics Nate posted. Looks like it gets lighter/darker depending on the angle.... which is nifty :)
and 125hp(si) FTL
Well if you buy a Sol because it has a lot of power, you're an idiot lol. But the Demon only gets 20hp more in terms of hp/ton. (110 vs 130)

the part that i really didn't like about the car is the back. if they would have went with a straight body instead of trying a wide body it wouldn't look bad

My Mustang GT cost $26,600 without leather.
And it has a "back seat" which I prefer to think of as small, leather shelves to hold the stuff I don't want in the front seat, with my GF. Blanket, bible, 2L soda, gloves, McDs wrappers, etc..
I once put two people back there and it sucked for all of us. Try heel-toeing with the seat all the way forward.
Is their SRT model a V6? If they don't put a 300hp V8 in it, it'll be doomed. The sound alone, would sell it.

Here's why the front looks like an S2000 and the back looks like a 350Z. Look who the exterior designer is:

I actually like the look of the Demon.
I seriously hope that 170hp is coming from an I4 motor and not a v6.

yea its just the n/a 2.4 VVT. im assuming they went with the getrag six speed...wait i wonder if i could get my hands on whatever they used, make my project much easier... the srt will have the 300+hp caliber srt-4 engine. and if its got an srt4 engine in it, it wouldnt need to be a v8 to sell. they sound like sex anyway
