So with christmas comin up, and my birthday in january. I'm gunna have some money to spend. I want to get lowering springs for my 95 accord. I was wondering if i just bought some $80 lowering springs online if that was all i needed. Is there anything i have to get to put em on? sorry if this is a stupid question haha

Well, since your car is 14 years old, if you can swing it, I'd get some lowering springs and new struts, since the ones you have, depending on how low you go may not last long. And why do the job twice?
But, if you just want to do lowering springs on the struts you have, you'll need a spring compressor to get the old springs off.
If you don't have one, I'd invest in a Hayne's manual, Chilton makes one, but I don't like em.
Here is a link to download a manual for free, they're Helm's, probably better than the previous 2 combined.
Good luck and be careful. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask

If you have money to spend I highly recommend investing in some quality springs and shocks. A koni yellow shock/neuspeed race spring set is a great setup. Also koni yellows and custom rate ground control springs are very popular with the guys that take their cars to the track. Here's the neuspeed/koni kit. Can probably find it for cheaper using google of course.

don't go cheap on suspension. If anything on it breaks you are in big trouble. If you are getting new springs, get new struts.

Okay so no cheap ones and new struts, got it ill look into those. And my grandpa Dad and Uncle all work at dealerships so i should have no problem gettin the old ones off one way or another.
I'm lookin around, but if you happen to find a site sellin good struts could you post the link, that'd be great.
i did my suspension in my driveway with hand tools...it sucked but i got it done..its not as hard as people make it seem. just take your time and dont cheap out like i did...also if your lowering more than lets say 1 1/2" get a camber kit...with that and an alignment it will save your tires...trust me on this one lol

Thats what i was thinkin of, a camber kit. Idk if ima go much lower due to the snow here in spokane. You think i could do a 1 1/2" or a tiny bit more and still be good?
im down 2.5" and as long as i stick to main roads in the winter i can get around

ill probably go with a 1.5-2 inch no more then that cuz i do live in a pretty resedential area where alot of the roads to get out arent plowed often..

Anyone used AdvancedJDMparts.com? would this be classified under the "Ebay" items? because i've found some springs and camber kits but their really cheap. Think i should look for different ones? http://www.advancedjdmparts.com/product.php?productid=21047&cat=512&page=2

I'm lookin at some Tokico shocks and springs together, But it says it will not fit VTEC, so if i swap a h22 into it later will it still fit?
heres the link if ya wanna see, shocks and springs $350 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120511120180&crlp=1_263602_263622&ff4=263602_263622&viewitem=&guid=ed2e741e1250a0aad2719231fb9bd8ce&rvr_id=&ua=WVI7&itemid=120511120180

I think that company has NO idea what they are typing. They say it fits the EX, but not any model with VTEC. That is what is stock in the EX. You should be fine with those.

I found the same set, same KCR springs and everything, $10 more but it said on there "all models except VTEC" so what would keep a car with VTEC from fitting these springs/struts in...i dont understand how it would make a big difference

I hope you weren't serious... :incazzato:
Changing the engine doesn't do anything to the suspension really, the added weight of the H22 isn't much more then the F22B.
After clicking the link, they are lying to you. I have a similar set from a few years ago on my car, with an H22 in it... It still functions. ;)

I'm pretty sure that they are just retarded. I don't think there is a difference between the EX and LX suspension. The suspension fitment has nothing to do with the engine that you put in.

I think so. Do cambers have to be adjusted after you put them on? like at a shop. Because if they do i think ill just sell em of keep em off until i get enough money to go to a shop and get em fixed up. How much you think an allignment is gunna cost? Cause wont i have to get one after i put the new springs on?
i paid 75 for a full alignment at schwabs....how lower will you be? i didnt out a camber get on..i just had them adjust my toe and i dont go through tires too bad anymore

i looked online at brand new springs, the same type that i am getting and i think it said 2" in front and 1.8" in back
they say anything over 1.5" you should get one...what brand camber kit is it? cause honestly i would go without one before using a cheapo one...

he doesnt know what brand. ill check when i get em. but you dont need a camber..cus the toe is what affects tire wear

Picked em up today. All it says on the camber is VLG, so idk. what do you think? leave it off and sell it, or put it on anyway
