97 Acura Integra RS w/ 95 GSR guts

What up guys my name is Joe and i go by the nick name of Backwoodz Tuner. I got the Backwoodz thing from an old forum i use to chill in, it was called The Integra Forums. But anyways, I live down in Albany bout 20 miles south of Salem and 40 miles north of Eugene, on the I-5 corridor. I'm just another Honda/Acura nut. I've owned like 7 Integras so far a few 90-93 DA Integras, but the 94-01 style Integras are my favorite. I've owned a few Civics and Accords too so i got a bit of knowledge on tinkerin around on em. I got a problem of getting in accidents with my Hondas , but luckily for me i've never been hurt in any of them.As for the only car i got for now is my previously wrecked 2 door 97 Integra RS rollin chassis i got off craigslist, that i filled with all the parts from my 95 Integra GSR that i rolled a long while back. All the suspension, interor, motor etc has been swapped over. But since my last accident i got my license suspended, but i kept driving getting a bunch of Driving while suspendeds, which has now screwed me outta my license for a few years and like 8 G's in fines. So i had to quit driving, and help keep me from driving, i tore my motor apart to keep me from throwing it in something else, even though a few months later i picked up a 95 GSR shell. It's the greyish colored one in the pictures. But the shell is pretty rough so i've been workin on that when i get extra time here in there between my kids, work, girlfriend, fines, etc. So now my motor is currently in pieces to be rebuilt to see some forced induction pressures. I'm still collecting pieces to build the block , but my money flow is not too great so it's taking me some time. I got a small list of parts i've currently got for it towards the bottom of my mod list. Here's all i keep tellin myself "Someday!" I just gotta stay focused and not loose interest. That's why i built a website, that's why i enjoy chattin it up in forums with people who share my common interest with cars. It's what keeps me goin at times.

Well I would say before I started my build it was only half built since only the top end was beefed up a little. Now that I'm strengthening the bottom end I will call it built when I'm done. And then I'll be able to push it hard and be able to turn up the boost without stressin about throwin a rod or something.

Believe me Its more then jus feelin pissed. Sad,embarrassed, and depressed were some other feelings I had at the time. But I had to eventually suck it up and follow my dreams. It gets easier after the 1st time. Like they say what don't kill u makes u stronger. So now I look at it as I'm lucky I walked away from all my misfortunes without a scratch and no one else getting hurt.I jus gotta make the best of a bad situation. Life goes on..... But someday is all I keep tellin myself..

My girl was straight trippin when i came home with it. She was pissed. But what the fuck did she know , was what i told myself. But yeah it was pretty rough. But there's some hidden treasures in it. For example it came with a Type-R hatch with minus rear windshield wiper glass and some straight Type-R doors. And what's so great about these pieces, there a lot lighter then normal.

Ya seriously, well put! Thats what I love some much about your own car, as you make mods that completely resemble YOU, and no one else. Thats a huge reason why I love doing it, (other than hearing that turbo spool up and launch you forward to the point that the only thing you can think about is staying on the road and how if you were about to die, it would be with a smile on your face)

Thanks man for the compliments, but i know everyone's gonna hate on me for this decision, but i'm planning on doin the Cali Type-R front end conversion usin a pair of OEM Honda 97 CL headlights , but instead of like most peeps that get a aftermarket frt bumper /bodykit with the pre cut conversion headlights for the CL, i'm gonna fab up a stock bumper and throw a tight lip, like a type-R or mugen. i think it looks tight IMO and that's all thats gonna matter in the end :-D
