Anyone know much about these? I've done quite a bit of research and it seems to be a 50-50 stance. Some say it adds great bottom end power and MPG while others say it does nothing. Any help would be cool! I am thinking about making one myself but kinda want to know if it'll be worth it or not before putting in the time.

Thanks All!

I've also read they really don't do anything, unless you get the ones that swirl the air into the plenum? I'm not much help I guess??

Yeah some others also said it changed the tone of their exhaust ??? IDK, maybe I'll just make one and give it a shot, only possible loss would be the $10 in materials.

On the s197 Mustangs, people have done before/after dynos. They got as much as one, lonely horsepower.

I heard it was sad, all by itself.

theoretically if its long enough it might change the tone of your engine, but when it goes into a plenium the swirly stops. it might increase flow to the plenium, but it probably wont net any power gain. now the trick would be to have your runners swirlized, that will net good power

Yeah they make some that have the swirl in them and others are smooth bore. There is also a 'tornado' version which im assuming acts as a VERY small turbine in that it will generate a vacuum as it spins up.

nope, it takes energy to move an object. you will actually lose hp with the tornado
