I'm gunna be buying a CAI soon. I'm just gunna buy the ebay kit and use the filter it comes with until i can buy a better one. I've seen the Specter filters at autozone and shucks and stuff. would that be good?

Yeah, Spectre is actually making a great name for themselves.

I believe so. I'm not 100% sure on the cd chassis. I have to on my cb. Personally, I'd just get a regular short ram. You won't gain any more power from the cai, and if you do have to pull the bumper, what a pain in the ass every time you have to clean the filter

short ram is pretty good, its not worth the 2x cost for anly another hp. and specter is making good products, they have made there way to be regularly advertised on the speed channel

In my other Accord I went with SRI since I have to deal with a lot of rain/puddles and didn't want to have to deal with accidentally sucking up a gallon of water, haha.

CAI in WA is not a good idea. Not unless you get the bypass filter

Iceman intakes are the shit, I wish they made em for the cb chassis still. Don't see many plastic intake tubes

I've always used their filters. For my CAI i bought one of their slim style ones, they are only like 3-4 inches long so they are space saving. But it rains so often here I just went to my SRI haha.

just get a cover for your filter, its water resistant so the water just bounces off

water resistant sleeve keeps the water off...

Breather is a failsafe for if your intake should get dumped into a puddle. The breather kicks in and sucks in air and keeps the water out.

Can't you get a CAI with the shield, so you can mount it on top half of the engine bay?

well cold air intake is speciifically meant to be lower and down in the bumper so it sucks in fresh air. Where as sri sits in the engine bay and sucks warm air from the engine bay. They shield might help a bit with keeping heat out, but i dont think it'd be the same.

jet, unless you have a port for fresh air to go straight to the filter, that looks like a warm intake to me

I'll get a pic where you can see the hole in the fender well. Even the stock air box drew air from that hole.

I'm just surprised there is nowhere in a Honda, where you can put a CAI, inside the engine bay. 'Course, back in the day, people put big, hideous hood scoops on their cars to get cold air, so maybe most cars are still like that.

I'm not recommending a big scoop.

My Honda has a hole and I think most Honda's do, most people use the hole to run a cold air intake tubing through it
