So i was listening to music tday. not too loud or nothin. just kinda moderately loud. All o a sudden it made a wierd noise and just stoped playing music. It clicks/pops everytime i turn up the music or switch a song but as fo the music nothing plays at all. Any ideas? the deck still has full power so idk what is wrong. it seems I wouldn't have blown all the speakers that way and all at once when it wasnt even that loud.

H'm. Is it an aftermarket deck?

I would probably start with pulling the deck out and checking all the wiring connections behind it.

Other than that, for now I'm not sure. Your deck still has power... Otherwise I'd say check your fuse. But you should check 'em all anyways, ha.

Sounds like your outputs on your deck went out. How old of deck? what brand? Do you have a amp running to your mids? Or are you just useing the deck power to run your speakers ?

Ok, so i started working again. I didn't do anything. My friend turned it on and it workd. So today i was listening to it again and i quickly accelerated to 60 (u'll see why this is important in a sec). it made ahigh pitched noise and then the sound got quieter but still played. I tried turning it up and now im back to it nt playing. But when it's on and i accelerate/slow down it makes a whiny noise that either goes up(accelerate) or down(sloing down). is it still my outputs? if so is the deck done? or how do i get new outputs.

It's heard to tell what the problem is with out knowing the set-up of the systems.
1.Is your system working only on head unit power if so check your ground make sure it's grounded to metal. A radio will work with a bad ground just off the antenna lead being plug in.

2. If you have amps explain the set-up and we can go from there.
Hope you get it working.

Yep, and that noise you hear when you go faster is alternator whine. Like JonBoy said, it's a bad ground either on your head unit, or amp, assuming your speakers are amped up.

Edit: my power wire running to what use to be my amp was loose in my trunk since my amps not in tere and it touched the metal truck and shorted out the stereo since everything was hooked up still. thanks for the help guys.
