as long as i dont lose my liscense next month i plan on starting as soon as rallycross is over. by then id like to have the 2.4 swapped. im also starting to relize that if i boost that 2.4 ill have too much power for autox and wont be able to get any traction. so im kinda considering not boosting. but anyway have any of you guys done it or are interested? we could start a nwtuner team! sponsored by eliteautosports right?!?! lol

Thanks for the info. I just want to go watch and take pictures. I'd only do it if I had a WRX.

I was originally building my Si for EP in AutoX for the AutosportNW. Went to a couple races a couple years ago. If I get another, I'm gonna at least do stock class.

The problem with AutoX, is if you do some mods not expecting to be in a higher class, but those mods could possibly put you in a class that you'd end up competing agains some very high performance cars. When I first looked into it, the #1 piece of advice I kept getting is "Pick a class and build to that class". Even just a CAI throws you out of stock class.

You can download the 2008 Solo rule book at http://www.scca.org/contentpage.aspx?content=61

ive read the rules. i wouldnt be competing as much as i would be learning. but in my defense, a few of the best auto-x racers drove neons, and also chystler had the largest scca promotion in automotive history for the neon. they encouraged everybody that bought an acr or rt to race and racing didnt void the warranty. they gave you a free scca membership and paid all the fees and gave you a good wad of cash just for competing. bet you didnt know that. the neon acr was built specifically for scca!

Sweet, but I'm not too much of a mopar guy so I wouldn't have known that.

Too bad Subaru isn't the same way. A guy on AutosportNW works for Subaru, and he's asked every time a car comes in if he's seen the car racing.

yea that sucks. it turns out neons have a pretty good history in scca. and the 05 SRT ACR just looks sick. the stripes without that huge tail looks clean as hell

That's so weird I would read this, this morning. I saw an ACR on the highway, yesterday. I was like "WTF is that?"

yea an acr from the factory has a 140hp dohc, low gear sport tranny, same drivetrain as me. but they have fog light holes, no fogs, no a/c, huge forged wheel bearings, front and rear sway bars, ajustable koni struts, no power anything. thats all i can remember. i think they had rear drums too to save on weight. no rear wing and minimal stereo

wasn't it 150hp dohc? I gotta get those ACR wheel bearings and sway bars before I enter an scca event for sure. I got the 5-lug R/T hubs, is that at all an improvement over factory Sport model hubs? (4-lug,sohc)
