For the past year I've been using a 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch XLC subwoofer. The RF has been good but I have been wanting something different for awhile.

I was at Car Toys the other day looking at some new 12" sub options and I came across a brand that I have never heard of; Total Mobile Audio. Turns out JL Audio makes TMA. So I bought one.

It's in a 1.25 cu. ft. box and it sounds AMAZING! It can't handle very much power (150w RMS) but it does awesome with that little power. It sounds twice as good as my RF did with 380w hooked up to it.

I was going to go with a dual 12" setup, but with this sub I don't need to.

So far the sub is hitting 117db on my decibel meter. I'm going to do some more little tweaks to the settings and see if I can get it up to 120db. I think once I find my bass CD that I use for tuning, I can easily hit 120db.

What did it cost ya? My brother just ordered 3 Precision Power 12" woofers off Ebay. The first one cost him 57 shipped, the other 2 were 50 dollars shipped. You pay shipping on the first item, others after that are free to ship. They're the flat piston woofers, look pretty well built. They're dual 2 ohm voice coils, handle 600 watts. Not sure if that's per coil, or total.

It is probably like Swiss or alphasonik. They are sister companies to Audiobahn
