So started doing a buff job on a boat at work. Boy do they suck. First I had to remove all of the pin stripping with an eraser wheel so that made a mess and now I am buffing it and it is a bitch. It is very uncomfortable since it is on a trailer. I'll try to get some pictures.

They will all be phone pics. I might try to sneak my camera into the shop.

Some of the best money I made was detailing boats ;) $250 for 2-3 hours work.

It was a pain. Had to go really slow with the eraser wheel and keep moving around while taking the pin stripping off so we wouldn't burn the gel coat.

Gel Coats aren't actually too difficult with the right products, polishing pads and rpms. :)

Today went a lot better. I got to work more on the big flat bottom lol. It wasn't bad and went really quick. The top part was a pain because of the clips to hold the cover on. here are some crappy cellphone pictures.
left side polished, right not.

So I finally got back to the boat today. I played mechanic all day yesterday changing ball joints on a dodge in the shop. I repaired the gel coat on the bottom of the hull. below the winch all the way to just past the first cross member on the trailer. All I had to do was take some Evercoat Everglass-short strand fiberglass filler and fill in the gouges and what not. There wasn't any structural damage. That went pretty smooth besides the fact I was sanding and fixing the repair on my back using a creeper to move around. Once I got that repair we mixed some color matched paint and added it to a final stage resin with some hardener then applied it to the boat using a roller. Made a huge mess but managed to cover the repair area. FYI it starts to burn if it gets in a cut.
