Agh! damn. Can someone move this to the Chat section. Idk why i posted this here. thought i clicked chat. sorry.

gues i got a question. Since the car ran out of gas i was stuck on the track. i got it started and kept it reving long enough to get to my stall but then it immediatly died and now wont start. One stupid thing that we dont have is a fuel filter. Any ideas?

no fuel filter and you ran it empty? um definately clogged the carb dude

CD5Accord
06-24-2010, 12:23 PM
yeah, were rebuildin the carb this week. and puttin a filter in. The car starts now but i have to keep on the throttle to keep it goin. if i try and let it idle it will die.

do it dude. alot of those fwd cars can kick ass. you just gotta know how to build the engine without making it obvious that you modified it. just get ir bored out and maybe some head parts.

Dear Lord, is that chick @ 0:15 wearing a tube top?

Uhh, yeah i think so. she apperently was standing up like everytime the cars came around turn 4. then she'd sit down until we came around again. haha. One thing i miss about watching the races was watching the people. ha

Hey that's where I normally sit. I didn't make it out there on Wednesday, but I should have gone.

In regards to the SOHC motor, the rules state "Stock Carbureter is a must", but it doe'snt mention anything about fuel injected cars. I'm looking at either putting my Mustang out there next year, or possibly doing Hobby Stock

i was thinking a 2.4sohc with cams and pistons, its hard to hear a difference in neons with no cat and cams. the 2.4 block is identical to the2.0. lol, plus they come with koni suspension stock soo... haha, i could tear it up

Yeah, just realize that those struts could get messed up prettty fast ha. so if your thinkin of usin em for somthing else later you might wanna just chop stock springs. basically, anything that isn't EXTREMELY faster then every1 else and you can't hear the difference in mods is what you have to go for. no one ever see's ur piston size, lower it, toe and build the head and you'd be good.

not completely true, a friend of mine who does the roadrunner series had a toyota celica gt chopped his springs, i told him i disagree but a lot of guys do it in that series

what number is the guy with the celica? i might know him. But yeah. this is a CHEAP series. if you've seen the pics of my wreck. you'd see why people don't ever put much money into their cars. it aint just honda guys. cuz most of the guys out there are "Honda Haters" but yeah, your struts/springs can get pretty f*cked up pretty fast out there. our right rear off the old car had no compression at all. haha

Chopping springs have been done for 60+ years on domestics. It's not a new "Honda thing" it's an old hot rod trick.

ahh! i didn't check nwt before i left. if you go again head out to the pits. i'm usually there for about 15-20min after the races are all over so drop by and say hello or somin.

gustav129
08-06-2010, 08:35 PM
I did see your group wearing the 64 Cody shirts when I was leaving. Maybe I'll head to the pits someday, but I gotta get my insurance card first.

CD5Accord
08-07-2010, 02:33 AM
If you go after the races you don't need any insurance they open the pits for the fans at the end of the night, you can either go down by the flagstand and cross the track or go out the main exit and walk over to the front entrance of the pits. but yeah a nightly pit pas is like $35-40 so unless your going to buy season membership and get in for $20 per week its almost not worth it. And if you'd like a shirt haha lemme know they're like $20 somin like that.

I'm thinkin about it. i don't race saturdays but i was thinkin of heading out and talking to the sprint car guys about lettin me hop inside and do some hotlaps sometime to see if a car owner wants to pick me up for next season. so i might

I was out there, Blake Williams kicked ass. Went to the pits afterwords, but there were no Blake Williams t-shirts to be had at this time. His mom told me to keep coming back and hounding her for T-shirts, she's due to have a box full soon.

CD5Accord

Hey, did you go out to the pits? i couldn't see anybody's face it was so dark so i didn't know if you were the guy standin by our trailer. ha. got wrecked. i almost kicked the guys ass.

gustav129
08-12-2010, 02:06 PM
Yup that was me. You were pissed and just wanted to leave, so I left it at that. I left when you left.

gustav129
08-12-2010, 06:59 PM
Yeah it was pretty sad, you deffinatly had a faster car the first two starts. What happened on the third start? I didn't see who pushed you off when you were trying to get out of the way to the pits.

I really wanted to check out those two civics. The purple hatch was on craigslist about a month ago. The red sedan had a piece of sheet metal on the roof as like it was covering a sun roof, but the sedans didn't have sunroofs, only the Si's did (CRX and Hatch).

i thought so! damn! haha i feel like an ass now. you shoulda said something i'da chilled out. but yeah i was a little heated. and my car was just screwed so i was gunna go run two laps in the main and then take him out and get him in the back but then the lights went out.

my stearing column broke...so i was done racin that race. it was connected but cracked. so i slowed down and didn't wave soon enough. yeah the civics can be pretty quick if you get a new enough year. i knew a guy who'd run B's in a eg hatch but thats a pretty new car for doin this. If i were you i'd pick up a old cheap fox body roller and get a $150 engine from pull and save. but then you gotta worry about seats, cage, all that. so idk. theres 1 for sale at the track for a fever car but you could change it for RR no engine but fully caged and a seat i think. $1100.
