I'm buyin another mustang, possibly for racing possibly for street. its $100 so it could go either way. theres no engine or tranny in the car. I need to know if since the cars a 5.0 mustang if i could fit a 2.3l in it for racing. If it needs modification what would i have to do? new motor mounts? or just simple drilling diff holes.
im guessing it was just mounts for both the motor and tranny..can you not race with the 5.0? 2.3 would be cheaper i guess

5.0 is v8. this is 4cylindar class. so we cant run it. I talked to my grandpa and he said it will swap right in. i thought the mounts would have to be swapped too. but i guess not. Its an awesome deal for $100 tho. im pretty stoked. and over the next few months im going to try and find an engine and tranny for it that way id have 2 runnin cars. if any1 has a 2.3 engine of tranny in the next few months lemme know

afaik the 2.3 is the same engine as the older rangers, wasn't there also a turbo version of it?

nope no turbos even if they stock. best advantage anyone could have is Vtec but alot of the cars out there don't run b18's and stuff so they don't have enough power to pull the straits. but theres a few
