Wow, man, those photos are awesome. That waterfall pic and the one of the cut branch on the house plant are my favorites. Killer waterfall pic!!!!
Digital cameras are so great. Thousands of pics on one "roll" and every one you don't like is gone as cost you nothing to take!

Yeah you got any pointers about the camera ?
Be very nice with it, lol.
Keep the caps on the lenses, you don't want dust in there. Don't hit the shutter with the lens off. Take more then one photo of each shot, just in case they are blurred just a tad its always good to have a back up of one that is crisp.

Ew, AUTO = no no :-D
Mines usually on P
M > A/S > P > Auto. P is just Auto v2.0. It'll make good photos, but still has the inherent downside of allowing the user to not pay much attention to their exposure settings. A/S at least has you focusing on one setting while allowing the camera to auto the other for you (And occasionally making you pay attention to your iso as well). M makes you actually learn what makes the exposure and thus gives you full control over your shots.
P is for people who buy nice cars. A/S is for people that buy parts and let shops build them a nice car. M is for people who build nice cars themselves :-D
Nice break down, I use P and A alot. M confused my newb ass.

Regarding the Manual Exposure setting:
I'm still learning a lot as well. I haven't been using Manual for very long myself. I spend a lot of time at Aperture Priority. But learning how to use Manual has taught me a lot. Manual is one of the big difference between owning a point and shoot and owning a DSLR. Yes, there is a quality increase of course, but the control you gain over your photos is much more important.
Pull out your camera's user manual and read about using the cameras built in light meter if you haven't already. Switch to spot metering when using manual exposure mode. And read up on Ansel Adams zone system.

Yea i've been reading the manual that came with it to..
The "M" setting isn't to scary as a matter of fact its quite easy to understand... fuck the owners manual the camera has one built in. Just make sure the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed are all set right and BAM pictureness. Well, thats how I read it on the internet.

yea im just reading everything i can about the camera just so i fully understand everything .. Im new to useing a DSLR camera this beaing my first so i just wanna know as much as i can about it
Then buy a 35mm black and white SLR and develop your own photos you'll learn a lot I promise.

Yea i bet but then dont you need the red room ?
Well they call it a dark room, and it depends on how extreme you want to get with it. Most of the time a bathroom with the window tape off and a couple of towels under the door works just fine.
