It has been brought to my attention that there is new information concerning the so called performance XTD clutches.

This is the link to the main post on Supramania.
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?43713-XTD-Clutch-scam!&highlight=XTD*

Although it is somewhat of an old post. This guy is still attempting to sell these and rip people off. He is selling OEM Toyota clutches, I have no doubt he is selling other makes as well.

I hope no one has fallen for this here. I hope all know what is going on.
In the interest of the NWTuner Community I thought I would share this.

Current Ebay listing.

A stage three clutch kit for a corolla for 150????

Sounds like a scam to me

Not to mention, XTD clutches are junk anyhow. They're supposed to be Exedy knock-offs, or so I've heard

I really hope that the thread ruins his business. People like that make me sick.

I bet if he labeled it as a OEM replacement he would still sell some, but trying to sell it as a Stage 3 racing clutch is just ridiculous

I thought this was well known already. Plus, what the heck do you expect out of a cheap ass clutch?

There is no way in hell that something as important as a clutch could be that cheap and work anywhere near what its advertised as. Same goes for any other cheap ebay crap.

Support the companies that put R&D into the products they make and stay away from the less known brands.

As a Mod on this forum I have a responsibility to serve this forum. A large portion of the members on this forum are new to the scene and weren't around in 07 when this started. I am bringing it to the attention of the newer members. Including the fact that they are still in operation. But thanks for asking

I only get car parts from reputable companies. I would only buy cheap eBay parts if I was trying to get a car running to sell it.

Stock clutch, for my car is $500.

Fortunately, Stage II: $398
Stage III: $482

If someone was offering a Stage III clutch for $150, I'd not even look at it. Click away!
