So we will have to work on gettinng it worked in to the increasingly busy summer schedule but I would like to get a cruise / meet for all the Washington guys to meet up with the Oregon guys.
So far I'm thinking that if we can get ahold of Perrin we could meet there and then head over to Portland international to run our cars or just kick it! Any ways anyone with input throw it on here and let's get this going!!

Not sure Perrin would be an ideal place, its out of the way. Might be better to meet in a neutral place for everyone. PIR is at the border of Washington/Oregon, so it might be a good idea to meet somewhere around there. I'll brainstorm some ideas too.

i dont really know the area that well. i just was there and heard they do meets there all the time so i thought that might be a location. you guys are the experts so if you could find a place that will hold a decent amount of cars we will show up there.
as far as a date im still waiting on it. i was talking to eddi (realchaos) tonight and he was saying august wont work. so im thinking really early spring. or even something sooner. maybe feb depending on the weather. just whatever would work for everyone.

I like Hooters...

the hooters is on the left when you pass over the bridge, and theres a big green sign that says janzen beach.. And PIR is only the 3rd exit from that..
justin

the location will be determined by the number of cars showing up. we cant really have 50 cars show up to hooters. that would be something to do after. im thinking more at a beach or something interesting. thats why i brought up perrin because even tho its just a big parking lot its interesting. lets get creative on where we could hold a bunch of cars.

umm.. There is the mall, there is alot of open parking lots around there. umm at janzen beach there is a hotel with a big parking lot. Theres the horse track which has a big ass parking lot..

the hooters is right on the left when you pass in right on your left and theres a big green sighn that says janzen beach.. And PIR is only the 3rd exit from that..
i dont understand any of that...
Perrin is a neat place with big parking lots would be an ideal place but thinking more about it Perrin might not care unless it was a HUGE multi forum meet like when they had their "grand opening". Although they might be cool about it, a better place might be Surgeline Tuning or PRE. I know Techtonics Tuning is down there. I think a shop or a manufacturer would be a better place than Hooters, I mean come on its only Hooters. Lets not go somewhere LAME.

That's exactly what I'm thinking, we don't know how many people are going to be there but it should still be planned as if it is going to be huge to avoid space issues. Hooters would be more of a casual thing. Not for planning a big event around. I'm more interested in a shop or a nice beach or something of interest to make for good photos and good times.

Yeah, that would be a great idea. Its just that more further for people to drive though.

I just mentioned Hooters because it would be an easy place to find and its a central place. I dont really care where it is, as long as people from Washington and Idaho dont care about driving even further into Oregon. I'm sure we could have it at a shop, but I'm really not sure how exciting that would be unless the shop hosted a bbq or dyno day or something like that.

Ya that is true there would have to be something going on but also we could host the bbq, I think the best place would be more at a beach. It's free parking, we could have a BBQ, it would be a great background for pictures, and it's not just a big parking lot. We have meets like that around here all summer long.

Im totally down for this. Where ever. Something on the coast gets my vote though. I can have two, maybe more, cars coming from Bend. Let me know if there is anything I could help with.

Jansen Beach does have many parking lots that could hold 50+ cars NO problem, As well as right next to hooters is a Safeway with a large parking lot. I don't know what time that you were planning, but i have seen 50+ honda's taking over the hooters parking lot too. But they were closed. I am sure if there open that wouldn't work. There is also the "24 hour" starbucks area, not that there 24 hr anymore though. But right around there is the Beaverton Hooters, there closed so they couldn't complain that we took over there parking lot.... The good thing with there is it is across from the Beaverton Police Station, so dumb ass drivers don't usually show up...
I say a coast event too. That would be the only reason I would drive out. The Oregon coast is awesome!

im thinking the best time would be early spring. it would be one of the first bigger events. it wouldnt mess with the east meets west or any other event. i just have to figure out the right weekend. i think the beach would be the best place if its a nice weekend but we all know how the beaches can be in the spring and if its shitty out no one wants to be at the beach.
the most sensible thing to do is take a vote to see where everyone would want to meet up. at jansen beach since it has been mentioned a few times in the thread now, or a parking lot preferably the one next to the police station to keep everyone under control. there is nothing worse then having a dip shit come thru the place and do burnouts or whatever and ruin everything.

Wait till June and this could combine with the 3rd Annual TNT Coastal Cruise
gotrice93
01-03-2009, 06:18 PM
june will also be the month of our east meets west meet
Other events need to be taken into account. NWT/NP East Meets West is June 6/7, when is the Coastal Cruise, Brian?

No set date yet, but its been the 3rd weekend of June the past 2 years. I was just putting it out there, cause we do a beach trip every year and it might be cool if you guys just came down for that. Its tons of fun and after the cruise, we stay the night at the beach and have a great time.
Last year we had 65+ cars for the cruise and then about 40 of us stayed the night and partied!

that sounds pretty chill actually. we might be able to make both happen. because i would be down to do something like that.
Thats sounds even better to just do it together. Just stick a NWT logo on the flyer ;)

No, dont think so.
Yes it is. The third Sunday of June is Father's Day. Last year June 1st was a Sunday, so the third Sunday fell on the 15th while our cruise fell on the third full weekend of the 21st.
This year, Father's Day is on the 21st. So we might want to head out a week earlier or later.
Should I change the topic title to TNT Oregon Coastal Cruise?

Prolly shouldnt do that. I'd say leave it as a NWTuner GTG, but if happens to turn into TNT Coastal Cruise, then cool.
Thats not a bad idea. I could definitely bring a group.

Yea I am sure that we won't be hosting the even on father's Day. That doesn't sound like a good time to do it. Brian we need to get our "Committee" together and discuss this event, as well as our other BIG one :)
