It's looking more and more like the Chelan area would work the best. Depending on the amount of people able to make it. I know I will be out of school around early May, so anytime after that would work.

jon
11-11-2008, 11:22 AM
i think chelan would be the best. its a beautiful area..the drive there is nice from the east and west.

i think early june would be best. its not super hot then. plus then we can push an end of summer meet too 8-)

im guessing its going to be a pretty large turnout so i would plan for that.

jon
11-11-2008, 07:13 PM
i wanna aim for june 6th and 7th.

some people can camp the night of the 5th too if they want. then we can all camp the night of the 6th party all night then cruise the 7th? i dunno lol

I think it should be at Leavenworth, thats a pretty cool place and for the most part its always nice there or maybe Wenatchee. Either way were gonna need a HUGE camp ground with lots of space in case we get too rowdy.

jon
11-12-2008, 10:53 AM
we could all meet in levenworth then have a cruise up to chelan. chelan has 144 spots in its camp grounds. the cruise from levenworth to chelan is beauitful. levenworth is too small for all of us unless we tried to find a big spot inside the wenatchee national forest. chelan seems like the best bet

justin
11-13-2008, 12:42 AM
i just realized that in all the excitement of the east meeting the west we havent planned the cruise part yet. haha. so what i think we should do to get the best of both worlds is this. well have the west meet up and the east meet up. obviously a lot of people from each side know each other so that wont be a problem. and then from there well cruise to chelan. and from there we can meet up and hang out and what not and then from there get everyone to cruise to leavanworth. that place could hold all the cars theres just not really a place to camp. so it would be like nwtuners invade leavenworth. well fuck shit up there and then go back to chelan and party til lthe weekend is over and then cruise back. that sounds like a pretty dope plan to me.

90LXCB7
11-13-2008, 02:03 AM
Count me in. I missed the Leavenworth meet last year, but, I'm not missing it this year. There may be a few people from around here that'd go. There is a guy from by Chelan, I'm sure he'd go.

jon
11-13-2008, 10:14 AM
yea that wouldnt be bad....i like that idea...id we all cruised seperate to levenworth hung out there than all cruised to chelan it would be nice. i was on that levenworth meet last year. it was nice. where could we meet in levenworth other than their safeway or something. i mean we need enough space for prolly what 20 cars at least?

B-Loud
11-13-2008, 02:37 PM
This would be badass count me and the rest of Moscow Mafia in for sure!

jon
11-13-2008, 02:39 PM
thats what i like to hear!!!!!

justin
11-14-2008, 01:01 AM
we could prolly just park all over. im sure there are a bunch of free places around the town. just i guess once we get there groups could break up and park together or something. we can figure those details out later. upon further review i dig my own idea. 60% of the time my ideas work every time. the other 40 im drunk.

jon
11-14-2008, 01:22 AM
the thing you have to remember with levenworth is that its a tourist town. weekends during the summer suck ass there cause there is already a shit ton of people in town.

we could all meet in wenatchee and go from there. there is a big lot that we took pics in during the last cruise to chelan i did. i think wenatchee as a meeting place would be better than levenworth. thats my 2 cents

90LXCB7
11-14-2008, 01:25 AM
Somewhere like, by Taco Bell, in that huge ass parking lot. It's somewhat easy to find, shouldn't have a difficult time getting everyone outta there, headed to Chelan?

erik
11-14-2008, 11:21 AM
Jon, I will make you head of the Events Moderator

jon
11-14-2008, 11:38 AM
yay!!! lol

we could all meet at that grocery store by all the auto dealerships in wenatchee. a couple grocery stores there that way anyone who didnt get a bunch of stuff can make sure they have it when we go camping

90LXCB7
11-14-2008, 03:35 PM
Which grocery store? I'm drawing a blank

jon
11-14-2008, 06:35 PM
there is an iga or something where you turn to head to levenworth

90LXCB7
11-14-2008, 06:48 PM
Oh ok, I know where you're talking about. Down in that hole by that Big 5, and that cell phone place?

?? 360
11-15-2008, 04:16 PM
If we have enough notice I can probably organize a big group from Bellingham too, we have all wanted to do some really big car meet together to chelan or something so this sounds perfect. Camping in Chelan is deffinetly a good idea though so we can all fucking party our faces off, lol. I don't know if you guys could handle the Bellingham crew though, we're pretty crazy :-P Its too bad summer is sooooooooooo far away!

90LXCB7
11-15-2008, 04:40 PM
A friend from Chelan was saying there are a ton of Honda's there, he was talking about posting flyers on cars about the meet, try to make it as big as possible. I think it'll be fun as hell, and I agree, I wish summer wasn't so far away

jon
11-15-2008, 08:13 PM
see this is what i wanna see....a huge group from the east side and a huge one from the west side!!!

if we plan this right we could have 30+ cars!!! omg!!!

anyways ya i think it is there by the big 5....

so what does everyone think???

chelan for camping the 6th and 7th of june???

i wanna get this organized and get us spots saved so.....we need everyone to put input in...

i want to have a date at least by dec 1st...if we cant all agree on one before that then we will have the meet june 6th and 7th...

basically in a nut shell....we will have a date and location by jan 1st that way we can schedule and get people organized...yes its 6 months in advance...but screw y'all!!!

I'm game. I might just drive home each day, not sure. I hope to have my car painted by then. I'm sportin a black hood and bumper right now. I'm working on my fogs now, not sure whether I wanna paint the reflectors yellow and or the lenses?? any input?

This will be a multi-forum event, Eddi (realchaos1) and I have discussed this, so it is in the works.

NissanPacific.com will be putting the word out about the event.

We should wait on the date to see what other major events that emerge that might keep people from coming to the East meets West weekend shin-dig. Such as HIN, Forumula Drift, etc.

Thanks for bringing that up Eddi.

This will be a successful EVENT! And big for those online communities involved!

We should also consider the geographical location. Maybe we could reach out to the locals near the lake. I'm sure we could find people in the Spokane / Tri-Cities area.

i leave for 12 hours and everything gets changed

i like the idea of keeping it towards the middle of the state....i dunno if anyone know anyone in the chelan area but i think that seems to be the best area for us...its big enough to fit us all

LimeEM2
11-17-2008, 10:11 AM
this sounds like its gonna be pretty sick! Id be down for the 6th and 7th of June, not really sure where chelan but if theres camping im in!!!!!! lol

erik
11-17-2008, 10:39 AM
Its not changed, if we want it to be largely successful we should consider other larger events that might be going on at the same time. It's still a Chelan thing. But, we might have tuners coming from as far as Montana.

jon
11-17-2008, 09:47 PM
ya i think if everyone is cool with it i think we should make it chelan for sure...

the date we should def wait on to consider all of the other clubs in the area...erik your so smart

erik
11-17-2008, 09:59 PM
Not me... Eddi suggested that.

jon
11-17-2008, 10:29 PM
well one thing we could look into would be that if something like hin is going on we could all roll out and come back...i dunno just an idea

Snow.....Coldness....No fun :(

jon
11-19-2008, 09:46 AM
im factoring for 30 right now because we are planning 6 months in advance peoples plans can change...30-50 cars is reasonable....

yeah the reason we are figuring june is because of the weather. if we wanna camp and stuff we gotta do it when its warmer...and technically speaking june 6th is still spring ;) :ugeek:

June is waaaay to late! i wont be here for that...i'll be back home! as for snow & coldness man up!! it wont be cold at the end of march!! Spring Fling car show was nice!! that was over spring break last year....why not late April or something would work out much better i think for most people

jon
11-19-2008, 04:49 PM
the thing is we are planning this as a camping trip. im not saying we cant have an eastern washington meet before the big meet. this meet is looking like early june so we can camp and have nice weather without freezing our balls off at night..

11-19-2008, 04:52 PM
well i know all sorts of clubs that would most likely be down for an east meets west earlier. i know clubs in SEA-TAC area...and bellingham and in between

erik

well i know all sorts of clubs that would most likely be down for an east meets west earlier. i know clubs in SEA-TAC area...and bellingham and in between

Do you even know where Sea-Tac is? Don't be frontin'. We all aren't from Alaska, and we don't have eskimo skin like you. This has to work for all involved, with people coming from as far as Missoula... I doubt they would make an early season meet. Hold your horses, it will be worth the wait of an extra week or two.

justin
11-19-2008, 05:27 PM
eriks getting cranky!! I think let's just all chill get drunk and figure it out from there.

jon
11-19-2008, 05:29 PM
hahaha

we will figure this all out there is no point in complaining about it...we want everyone to be comfortable and the date seems to work best so far but we will tell soon enough

I'm ethugging bitches.

justin
11-19-2008, 05:58 PM
erik you need to watch NBA shoot around to listen to avery Johnson talk it's amazing, anyways I def don't care when it is because I just wanna party hard and go on a cruise. I doubt my will be up so I got dibs on being the drunk asshole all weekend long!

erik
11-19-2008, 06:01 PM
I don't mind when it is, but I want to account for everyone. I have to see everyone's view because... well... I run this.

jon
11-19-2008, 06:03 PM
cruises and lots of alcohol sounds like a hell of an awesome weekend to me

justin
11-19-2008, 06:12 PM
it will be be I understand where he's coming from but there's no one that says we couldn't do a smaller cruise without camping what if we did a cascade loop or something. It's just if were camping I think people are going to want it a little later so were not freezing at night

jon
11-19-2008, 06:26 PM
ya im not saying there cant be another meet before this one. this is just the big one.

we can do a meet in march or april and do a cruise but for argument sake this is our big meet and the camping idea is best in my eyes...then we can plan a couple different cruises during the weekend

justin
11-19-2008, 06:29 PM
exactly

jon
11-20-2008, 12:07 PM
the drive to chelan for everyone will be extremely nice...i love the little drive from wenatchee to chelan.

we can all meet there or i kno you guys on the west side can take the cascade loop and us over in spokane i got a nice drive that takes us up by omak...trust me its a blast.

maybe ill post some ideas for cruises...anyone who wants to post go for it

90LXCB7
11-20-2008, 04:05 PM
Sweet! I'm in Omak. And yes, the North Cascades loop is sweet. Lots of amazing scenery. Diablo Lake is awesome, and that metal grate bridge that shakes when cars go over it... either way, cb willing, count me in.

How's the h swap comin along? That was a sweet ass deal, great find

jon
11-20-2008, 04:28 PM
the h wont go in til the spring prolly...gotta get some stuff for it..i wanna do it once and right the first time.

yea i figure we can make big loops and grab people then when we all roll into chelan we can meet and take over the place lol...hopefully at least 40+ cars strong lol

907DC4
11-20-2008, 05:41 PM
that is enough of the eskimo talk erik!!! none of that!!! i know Team Menace and they may be down and other clubs in the seattle area and i too know ppl in the Missoula area that may be down as well....just saying we should have an earlier cruise....no camping, but a east meets west cruise or something. i would love to do the camping thing...i just wont be here if its in June....which would blow!!

jon
11-20-2008, 05:45 PM
we can prolly do a cruise but to get it to be as big as this one will be is going to be hard...

remember we did have snow up until the beginning of may so to plan a cruise any sooner than june us hard cause the weather is so fucked up in this area

erik
11-20-2008, 05:45 PM

Too bad we can't depend on the weather :( You have to fly out if it ends up being in June...

907DC4
11-20-2008, 05:54 PM
i could get the cruise big if we wanted to do one! i have connections all over...lol

erik
11-20-2008, 06:00 PM
Almost requires a different discussion. Don't differentiate from the origin of post.

jon
11-20-2008, 06:20 PM
yeah...if you want to discuss another meet we can start another thread...this thread is getting all over the place.

i understand you can get a huge cruise but for arguments sake this thread is about the june meet.

the meet will happen in june or around then. we want the weather to be nice..

we can start another thread on an early spring cruise but as far this thread goes.

discussion is over

justin
11-20-2008, 09:09 PM
ya i think on the west side of things well cruise 20 over and then go all the way down to wenatchee. i think that would be a decent cruise. its half of the loop and then when it comes time to go back you have the option of finishing off the loop down thru stevens pass or you could go back up and take 20.

justin
11-20-2008, 09:11 PM
also when we figure out forsure the weekend and things are a little more narrowed down as to where everyone on the west side is going to meet up and what time we are leaving and such i will make a post on dsmtuners. i think that everyone should post in theyre own car specific forums as well. this should be an epic cruise. i think we could single handedly destroy washington in a weekend. and thats not a bad thing.

jon
11-20-2008, 11:13 PM
yea i agree. it can be big. if not all of washington destroyed def. chelan...

i figure the east crew could cruise to wenatchee too and the whole group can cruise into chelan together....show our dominance ya kno lol

justin
11-21-2008, 01:49 PM
that sounds like a good idea. i think coming from winthrop we will be passing chelan so we might have to back track. im not sure tho i dont spend a lot of time on the east side.

but i def think that we need an east side only thread and a west side only thread so each side and get everything planned and keep things in order. then from there we could update this post with what each sides going to do.

erik

Hey Justin, you guys that are going thru Winthrop, if you stay in the Methow, just follow the road headed to Wenatchee, it'll dump ya out in Pateros, when ya get to Pateros, take a right, head up the little hill, Chelan is about 15 or 20 miles from that turn. You should be fine

justin
11-21-2008, 03:53 PM
alright thanks. i remember we went right past chelan when we did the loop but i wasnt driving or anything. i dont remember stuff as well sitting in the passenger seat.

11-21-2008, 04:31 PM
okay well count me in with the group that says who cares when it is i will be there... work can deal for a couple days. And by the sounds of it you can count on messing up some part of washington with this meet it will be done!

justin
11-21-2008, 04:38 PM
there's no doubt Washington will be fucked up after this cruise sr4j is going to be there plus all the other groups well instagate. It's safe to say washington chili ring will never be the same

There's a stretch of road just before you enter Moses Lake that is impossible to resist. It's about three miles of straight road, with tall berms on either side. That's where I chickened out at 155MPH. I hit fifth and backed down, almost right away. The hood flaps like a rag, in the wind and my hood pins are sitting on a shelf in the garage.

Anywhere near Moses Lake and there will be trouble. Besides my Spanish is not that strong so I can't listen to the radio stations.

Hey, if anyone needs any info or whatever regarding this meet, I've got a friend that lives about 5 miles from Chelan, he could easily buzz up and check things out and keep us posted?? he works in Chelan, so, he's there daily.

So do we have a set weekend yet?

The last 3 pages of this message board, did not pertain to the original topic. I vote for the (5th) 6th and 7th of June. But I think we should get a steady head count on how many sites we'll be needing and get them reserved WAAAAAY ahead of time. Maybe by the middle of April beggining of May? Nothing would be worse than getting 100 drivers together with a ton of alchol and having to sleep in a Wal-Mart parking lot. As for the Spring/Summer argument, if our winter is anything like it was last year, I bet $10 that we're going to have snow somewhere in Washington that week.

justin
12-08-2008, 09:46 PM
true. i agree with ozkimmee. the warmer the better for camping.

we def need to start figuring this stuff out soon so we actually know whats going down.

yea thats the park...thanks jr

i will start to get in touch with the park prolly right after the 1st of the year.the biggest thing i want to see if they will give a discount on is the parking. cause we will have a ton of cars. we can do basically 2 tents per site which will cut down on that cost. its the parking im most worried about

uppppppddate::

i called a couple parks in the area. the only one i could talk to anyone was at alta lake. he said plain and simple we cant fit 100 cars in alta lake, lake chelan or twenty mile. but he did say that sun lakes could in theory handle 100 cars and people. they have a special group camp area that could fit all of us. it is very close to chelan and we could still go by chelan but he said for when we are going to have this meet that sun lakes would be our best bet....here is a map for reference.

If it's the one I'm thinking about, actually, the 2 I have listed are on the back road going to Manson, and they seem to have adequate parking, and they're both within walking distance of a grocery store, so, if someone forgets something, it's a short walk to the store. And that road to Manson, altho it's a slow drive, it's a fun one, kinda twisty and windy

And Alta Lake isn't too far from Pateros, so, again, if someone needs anything, it's right there. I think it's probably 20 miles from Alta Lake to Chelan, but, the people coming from the west side, thru Winthrop will dump out right at the turn off for Alta Lake. Haven't been for a few years, but, from what I remember, it's nice.

sun lakes can hold us, alta cant twenty five mile cant chelan would be pushing it...thats what ive figured out

then again i guess everyone wont be camping.....

jon
12-29-2008, 02:37 PM
yea...here is the idea in my head...

east crew meets up west crew meets up...everyone cruises to wenatchee...we meet in a big parking lot...then all cruise up to the chelan area in one big long line...piss everyone in chelan off...then cruise over to where we are gonna camp...have a bbq camp party drink...then when we get ready to leave leave as a group and go our seperate ways...the east crew can cruise back to the spokane area i know some roads that i wanna cruise back on if no one cars about a drive thats like an extra hr...but trust me its worth it for these roads ;)

gotrice93
12-29-2008, 07:26 PM
that actually sounds like a good place. they seem to be happy about seeing our cars. i think some of these places might shit themselve when u say we are going to have over 100 cars. plus the rates dont seem to bad. it would be cool if we could park on the grass to me it just seem a little more car showy. if we do park on the grass just gotta make sure no 1 is spinning tires when they leave. last thing we want is to give us tuners a bad name and be banned from the park

pinksuby20
12-29-2008, 07:30 PM

ya I dont know that much about the eastern part of WA, but ive been doing alot of reading on the different parks and the sun lakes resort is the only one that has replied back to me and is the only one ok with a big car group coming..

jon
12-29-2008, 11:54 PM
ok so is that a resort not the state park? thats what it seems like.

she said they have the big lots i wonder if we could work something out and have a whole lot reserved for just the nwtuner crew so we could have a little car show..if we did that maybe we should just work with sun lakes resort and have the 1st east meets west nwtuner meet and car show. prizes and all that jazz

jon
12-30-2008, 12:10 AM
i think some people would like that but we also may want to look into just regular campgrounds... you usually can have 3 tents per site and they are like 15 -20 bucks a site...5 bucks is a lot better that 20. im not saying the cabins are a bad idea...

then again didnt she say that the state park camp ground is right next door...hmm we could use the resorts parking lot and camp int he cheap camping lol

just brainstorming

edit: haha sorry i went and re-read...we could def do the sites...if we buddy up we can take 50 spots and share tents that way we can park all the cars there

double edit: i think if we can take over almost one of their whole areas it would be nice... a few fire pits through out and we can walk between them and have a big party...we gotta walk the drinking at the resort tho cause i think we would have more trouble there if we are loud and shit then we would in the state park

pinksuby20
12-30-2008, 12:28 AM
ok, so for everyone to know, I posted up the information on cabin prices, and campsite prices. I hope no one is getting mad that im doing this. I am just trying to help get the ball rolling, if you know what I mean. Im good at organizing things emailing people, and calling people. I talked to the lady and she said the same thing in her email that we can all park in the state parking lot, or all park together and put on like a car show thing, she sounded really excited about it.

if we were to stay here i think our best bet would be to take the whole back in spot up in the top right corner, hopefully that kinda puts us away from people and could get away with a little more...

if we had the pull through spots as well we could have all of us in that upper right corner which i think would be best if we stayed here...figuring two cars and 1 tent per spot...4 max at each site

So I just got an email back from the lady at sun lake and she tried talking her manager into making an exeption for us to just beable to stay one night and she said thats not possible expecially on a weekend, being that its summer.. So I emailed lake chelan and asked them if they allow a big group up to 100 and all the same questions. So I am waiting now on a reply to see if lake chelan would be good, its pretty cheap to..

Im sorry.. Im still trying

justin
01-02-2009, 12:16 AM
hey we could try this... if your having problems with just the one day lets try... i depending on if i have a job and money or not am planning on heading out there friday at some point in time. so you could arrange everything for the weekend. having people stay there the night of the 5th and 6th and leaving on the 7th. that might help because im sure there and some people like me that would want to get there early. that way the 6th being the saturday would be full of doing stuff. i think that if people over here especially on the west side could leave on the 5th it would be a little better since we would get there in the evening at some point and get everything set up and just chill and then that saturday raise hell all day and night. then roll home sunday whenever you sober up.

jon
01-02-2009, 12:27 AM
but the thing is we wouldnt have enough spots for sat night. some oculd stay the night of the 5th but it would would be a waste of money otherwise...sorry that was confusing

justin
01-02-2009, 12:42 AM
well no what im saying is when she is calling making the reservations instead of making it a one night thing make it a two night thing. include friday. ya all the people might not be there yet but at least they are still on hold. and im sure there would be enough people there on friday to keep all the sites reserved.

sorry if i am wrong im not trying to be a dick but to me it seemed like she was only trying to make the reservations for the one night. i could see that being a problem taking up that many spots but if its gonna be a whole weekend thing that it might not be as bad because we are not fucking as much shit up.

plus i just found this quote ..

so if we reserved friday and saturday i dont think anything would be a problem.

jon
01-02-2009, 01:03 AM
the thing is we will have to pay for both nights for all the sites weather everyone is there or not. im basically saying if we only stay 1 night but pay for 2 we are gonna be wasting a night and still paying for it

justin
01-02-2009, 01:06 AM
well thats true but i mean some people like myself would want to get there friday. i could probably get a bunch of people there friday and then we would all obviously be there camping. i understand not everyone wants to camp both nights but if we could figure out who all wants to camp two nights then they would be the ones getting the camp sites and then saturday we could get people to fill in where there is room. it would kind of be one of those awkward first time meeting you things but there will be booze so it will all work out fine.

jon
01-02-2009, 01:12 AM
yeah...that def would work...i mean if i can get the fri off from work ill be out there fri night too...but i guess it all depends on how many people we actually have at the meet we need to start getting more of a head count...including who is coming from here and gfs/bfs and friends and you know what im sayin

01-02-2009, 01:49 PM
I would love to go but its like 6-7 hours away. Why pick a location thats so far north?

gotrice93
01-02-2009, 01:55 PM
according to map qwest its like 4 hours from coeur d'alene. i think that was kinda the mid point

jon
01-02-2009, 02:02 PM
yeah ita kinda the mid point of washington...4-5 hrs from all the locations except oregon lol

Sir Kyle
01-02-2009, 02:14 PM
Mid point of Washington, not the NorthWest

justin
01-02-2009, 02:17 PM
when the idea was started no one on here was from oregon. this has been a topic since like day two of the forum. even before we lost everything.

jon
01-02-2009, 02:38 PM
yea this started way back. at that time it was washington and idaho. but we are kinda cemented in the chelan area because still at this point it is mostly washington people on here...

gotrice93
01-02-2009, 02:55 PM
im gonna try and bring some montana people that i know. it will be a 8 hour trip for them and im sure they will be down

Sir Kyle
01-02-2009, 03:04 PM

Chelan is great for me, it's only about 45 minutes.

Hey Jon, which way are you gonna be coming? are you goin over Disautel? if so, when you get to Omak, let me know and we can caravan or something. Or, if you go Lahey, let me know and I can meet you in Brewster

jon
01-02-2009, 04:02 PM
i dunno yet....we are trying to get everyone in wenachee...so i havent decided the most fun route yet

90LXCB7
01-02-2009, 04:06 PM
Aah, I could meet everyone in Wetsnatchee, we could all meet up there, then fly to Chelan. OOh, there is a tunnel on the way to Chelan too, too bad we couldn't get that road blocked off for a few, get everyone to park in there, in both lanes, fill the tunnel and take some pics... I was thinkin about that the other night when I was driving thru that tunnel. I think that'd be a sweet ass photo shoot

pinksuby20
01-02-2009, 04:09 PM
I kinda get was you gus are saying.. Ok so you are wanting to pay for two nights which is about $23 for one night so it will be $46 for two nights..
(That rate covers 1-4 adults and up to three items per
site. For example, you could put one car and two tents, two cars and one
tent, or one motorhome, one car and one tent. A fourth item can be added for
an additional $5.00 per night.) Umm..
(The sites are all full hook-up rv sites: water, power and sewer hookup.
They each have a picnic table. We do not have fire pits but you are welcome
to bring your own. There is a large lawn area in the RV park. We have two
large restroom buildings with showers. We have a heated swimming pool, boat rentals, golf course and mini-golf, a convenience grocery, snack bar and gift shop. We are on the
north end of Park Lake which is great for swimming, fishing and boating. We
are located with in Sun Lakes/Dry Falls state park and there are two swim
beaches in the park, large lawn areas, and hiking trails.)
