1. Thou shalt not place an overly large rear downforce wing on a front wheel drive car. i.e. triple decker aluminum wings are always a no no.
2. Thou shalt not ever buy walmart seat covers, even if you think the flames are cool (they're not), and they don't give you the right to race every vehicle on the road. Especially the soccer mom in the minivan, that's not bragging rights.
3. Thou shalt not put more than one color of neon lighting on the same car at the same time. And don't start thinking it's ok to put red plug wires, yellow wire loom, and a blue valve cover in the same engine compartment.
4. Thou shalt not put vinyl graphics on a stock car. And under no circumstances are Wal-Mart or Autozone "off the shelf" graphics ok.
5. Thou shalt not drive around for two years with an unpainted body kit. Prime the whole car if you have too.
6. Thou shalt not drive with more than one style wheel on the car (unless you're at the drag strip or happened to get a flat tire)
7. Thou shalt not place stickers on a car of products not installed on that car, and stickers, no matter how cool you think they are, do not add horsepower.
8. Thou shalt not strip the interior out of a street car in an attempt to go faster, your 16 second car won't notice if you lose the 50 pounds of passenger and rear seats.
9. Thou shalt not make crazy horsepower claims from an un-built car. Your intake and exhaust didn't take your single cam to 200 horsepower. And nitrous is for built engines, don't spray your single cam with a 100 shot, besides, it still won't put you over 200 hp!
10. Thou shalt not ever claim to be the fastest around, remember, there's always somebody faster; whether you know/like it or not.

i changed the list because i totally agree with you. i have drove a couple beaters before when i first got my liscense but i like them and thats what mattered. every car i have drove i have payed for. now i drive a 1993 honda del sol and have payed for everything including maintance and accessories. i took some sacrafices to get it but i respect it more knowing that i paid for it, unlike some kids who mommy and daddy buys them there cars

Yeah not everyone can afford what they really want, even if its just a 5 thousand dollar car. If you don't got the funds you don't got the funds. So you end up getting a thousand dollar bucket, bout to break down, which it does 2 weeks later. But that's when learnin about cars kicks in and you decide to dig into it wrenchin away and slowly but surely learn how to fix it. Then that thousand dollar bucket gives you more, like pride cause you fixed it yourself. Then before you know it your not just doin regular maintenance and repairs but upgrading it, , BUILDING IT, TUNING IT !

I was reading on CarDomain one time, this guy had an Accord, cb platform, had an f22a6 with an intake, header, and exhaust. Said he had 260 hp, 280 lb/ft of torque... I have the f22a4, same mods, and I'd bet money, I'm NOWHERE near his numbers... *sigh* what am I doing wrong?

Oh yeah, and I have the p12 ecu.
He probably read that the intake adds 30 hp, the header, another 30, the exhaust, 60 or some shit... and I was being sarcastic. I thought it was humorous tho

I remember back in the days of the Chevy 350, everyone thought they had 500hp, normally aspirated. Amazing when they got on the dyno and it said 280. "But...!"
The carb doesn't give you 50hp. The headers don't give you 80. The intake doesn't give you 70. But if you add them all up....

5. Thou shalt not drive around for two years with an unpainted body kit. Prime the whole car if you have too.
This is especially annoying. Finance yourself! Don't buy and put the kit on unless you can afford to get it painted all within the same week or two!

this one annoys me to. priming the whole car is bad idea to. primer will absorb moisture and then when ur ready to paint u gotta sand it down and reprimer it

hey im guilty of stripping the interior. i spilled about 10 gallons of nacho cheese in my back seat. went to clean it and it had made its way under the carpet from the trunk to the front seats. so i said fuck it, stripped it, sold the stereo for 1500, and ive been slowky stripping it more and more. i think my car stock weighed around 2800, then the 200lb stereo id say was around 3000 of course. last time i weighed it it was just under 2350 with me in it and a full tank, im about 220

Wow, you and I are in the same race. Lose weight to make the car faster. I get on the scale and think "My poor car."

My cars interior was crappy when i got it so i took it out. And i saved like.... hmmmm.... 150lbs on it. (with sound deadening) :)
An exhaust mod on my car add 25+ hp. My setup is prolly 30hp gain.
Early 13b's are suppose to be 40+ hp.

maybe i should take pics of the stain, 18 months after, i still have it all in storage. funny story, transferring all my "interior" parts from my dads storage trailer to my storage unit took 4 trips including snow tires, if you think real hard, it woulda made sense that i could have done it with one and seating for two
