Yeah I've personnally changed the minds of a few non belivers. My dad gots in a like a Classic car club and there always downing Hondas callin em rice burners, cracker jack box cars, and what not. They just call em annoying noise makers. But then I lined up on a few oldies and knocked their mullets to next Tuesday. Then I took a few of them for a ride and they never thought how hard a little 4 cylinder less then 2.0 liters can set you back in the seat. Then I explained that if they had as much HP per liter as me they too would have something to brag about! LOL!!!

ya good ideas cant beat exedy for less than 100 or add a fidanza for 250 total. for the cam be careful most require upgraded valve springs and retainers. and look it up!!! i personally didnt do it cause the power gains are minimal on our motors in stage 1

When you go get emmisions checked and then they try and hook up the computer to the OBD2 ECU and either find no hookup under the dash, or not comaptible with the computer.......

Eitherway, they won't let you register your car.

you can go the other way(OBDI to OBDII), and there may be a possible way to do it(II to I), but it WILL be a PAIN do get it done to switch from OBDII to OBDI and then get registration taken care of... and if you do make the swap, you might not find out that there is an issue until it is time to renew the registration(next time you need emissions)... one workaround that i know of is to get it titled out in the boonies(where emissions is not required)

But it's illegal to do that conversion, or put an older motor into a newer car. That's a federal law, to tamper with emmisions. But the only way to get caught is when you have to get tested for emmissions to register your car every year. But like I said, I don't know if you have to over in Skagit County, like we do in Spokane

Somewhere it should say that conversion harness is "For Offroad Use Only". Either on the website you would buy it from, or on the package.

An exhaust is not illegal, only a glass pack or open are illegal in WA because they are not "approved spark arrestors". A CAI is not illegal. You can lower your vehicle, the body can't be lower than the edge of the rim. Putting a K20 out of a 2003 Si into your civic is completely legal. The motor is newer than the car. Upgrading is alway legal, but you can not downgrade when it comes to emmisisons.

But if all you have to do is pay a few bucks to get a sticker, and don't have to worry about a sniffer up the tailpipe or hooking up a computer to an OBDII ECU, than more power to you.

Well u get in slightly more trouble, just from personal experience unfortunately, suspended license for 3 months, complete a drug n alcohol treatment, fines , and 80 hrs in jail, well that's what happened to me. Lucky enough never got a street racing ticket.

I envy all you guys with license's cause I haven't gotta get my fix for all most 2 years now. I start gettin that feeling in my stomach jus talkin about, it makes me feel real depressed especially on weekend nights like tonight. Like I start thinkin bout what I use to do to get ready for some late night action. Like rotate my tires, check my timing, check all my cars lights, I had a strob light hooked up under my car like right in front of the rear tow hook thing, I'd always make sure that one was in good workin order, works better then hittin the hazards when you just blew the doors off a mustang or camaro, well in my opinion. But I'd do shit that really didn't need to be done as often as I did like changin my plugs every 2-3 weeks just to be sure I got good spark and I always liked wastin time tryin to index em just right when I would be installing em, I would also change my oil filter when I would get new plugs. But other prepping would be like, takin out my subs and put in my freshly filled Nitrous bottle I had sittin around since 2 weeks back cause back then I only had a daughter and had her every other weekend . I miss that shit. Now. Most weekends I'm passed out with my son and daughter bout the time I would be just bout to hit the streets. I guess it jus really means I'm gettin old. Now that's a depressing statement right there!

just threw the y8 intake manifold on tonight she pulling pretty good now. i took it on a quick test drive and i threw my brother back in his seat. she seems to drive alot smoother now too

Well I wouldn't really worry then. Its just like the box where all toxic gas type shit gets filtered, in the charcoal canister thing. Like gas fumes and shit like that. I wouldn't stress it but fix it sometime soon. Just snag on from a junkyard they always leave hoses like that on cars.

he was late to a class and was taking a corner at 90mph and went into the right side grass a little bit and overcorrected and went over to the other side of the road into a ditch and flipped theres a nice tire mark where he went over the center line, now were just waiting on seeing if there gonna total his car or not, a hard way to learn what not to do

Yeah that's kinda what I did too. But I cut the corner on the leftside of the road, hit the gravel over corrected and my ass end slide into the ditch then I went a rolling. And I was going about that fast too. Scary lesson.
