My next big project was the first project I brought into school. It was my Fiancée’s (gf at the time) 2000 Celica GT. She has always been into cars and her Celica was the first nice car she ever had. She started modifying it with some basics; lowering springs, 18” wheels, carbon fiber hood, TRD spoiler etc… until one day she was sideswiped by a lifted F350 changing lanes. The whole side of here car was dented and covered in tire marks. Insurance cut her a check for the damage but since I was doing all the labor for the bf hookup we used the money to buy an APR Widebody Kit which Fedex destroyed upon delivery. Both bumpers were damaged; side skirt was broken in half as well as many other issues. Fedex honored the claim and insured 100% of the value of the kit but never picked it. We decided to try and fix the kit and use the money for more parts. I wanted to do more then just fix and install a body so I tried my hand at some custom metal work and shaved the antenna and the rear windows with a scoop molded in. After the car was painted we started showing it and modified it a little more. We place at 13 events of the 17 we attended. We have since parted the car out for a new project.
