Terrell's 93' 240sx

heyy guys, well i already have a build thread over on NP, so i guess i'll just post some progress pics for now. haha enjoi!^_^ oh ya sorry in advance for the gazillion amounts of pictures! haha

here's a brief history of my car: i got it a year ago for 4k. i traded the guy 2k plus my suzuki sidekick on top. it was an imported one too! haha umm the uy i bought it from basically restores 240's for a living and had literally 10 on his property, and just shelves and shelves of 240 parts. this guy was a walking ebay! but ya the KA had 95k miles on the engine when i got it, he completely reupholstered the seats and everything. so far the mods i got are Injen short ram intake,Megan racing 2.5" drift spec exhaust, new speakers and CD deck, and a 5spd swap. right now my list for mods coming up are coilovers,new tires, and a tranny rebuild. i don't drift this 240 because of how good condition it's in i want this car to last me a long time. but, i do auto-x down in bremerton! haha it will last me a while tho because i'm eventually getting a full top and bottom rebuild from ricky over at kami dori. if u wanna checke'm out just click my sig. umm ya post up and lemme know what u think. thanks^_^

thanks^_^ um nah the 5spd swap was pretty simple actually. there's sumtin u gotta do with one of the trasnny sensors.. i forget. but basically
ur car thinks it's in park the whole time. ya ricky over at kami dori did it for me and everything turned out perfect. if u wanna contact him about mroe info or quotes check out the website and go to the contacts section.

thanks for the compliments guys!^_^ ya tranny swaps can be a pain sometimes. haha luckily mine went flawlessly for the most part except right in the end. we got one of the sensors backwards cuz when i was in gear my reverse lights came on, and when i went into reverse, the lights went off. haha

yeah it doesnt have the usuall wear on the drivers seat, vary nice looking 240sx i was bummed when i saw it was auto but then got excited to see you did a 5speed conversion very nice

haha i know seriously! although i was thinking about doing an L28 swap and gettin g the whole stroker kit to beef it out to 3.1 liters. haha but surprisingly the KA-T tends to make better HP numbers on boost compared to the L28. but the L28 has a good 30-50 extra ft/lbs of torque on the KA under like 12psi of boost i think is what it was. i read an article over on hybrid Z. but ya im probably not gonna run anything huge, maybe around 300 sumtin horses. i might get a T-28 o sumtin for my turbo. iono we'll see later on down the road

IMO...throw the KA away, forget SR, RB25 is the way to go....saves the money of trying to get a KA or SR to do the same as a RB does stock AND it doesn't hurt the weight balance. If you don't mind changing up brands you could do a 1JZ or 2JZ but the swap parts and electrical can eat up money

Rb25 is way too expensive. For less cha-ching, you can get an RB20 that has I believe 215 horses and bam, torque. If your going to drop the cash trying to get an Rb25 you might as well go 26 and single turbo that sucker. And on the 'yota side, 1jz and 2jz's are getting hella hard to find. There the prime drift engine!

There is nothing wrong with an SR. Solid engine, huge aftermarket support and R & D as well as 400hp stock rated internals. But you are right GSOLO, KA's are crap. Throw it in the trash!

Blackice - trade me your S14 for my S13 and SR.
