finally broke down and saved my money and got my d40 today. i have messed with it a little but ill get the hang soon. ill post pics as i shoot

my mom has the D40 and I told her that I was going to get the D80 or D90 and she didn't talk to me for a few minutes. Then told me that I had to let her borrow it :lol:

Nikon N & F are Film I believe? Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

The price of the D40 is extremely competitive because of the DSLR market being flooded constantly with new products and as technology advances the price of these camera models keep dropping. The price of my D60 has dropped a hundred or so since I purchased it. The D40 can be had for $400 or less with a lens or two.

oooo I got to play with a 500 dollar canon film one..idk the model though but they are neat..I also played with a nikon and old school film one they take exellent pictures

Go to Costco and fiddle with the D90 :) $900 camera.

yeah i got it brand new. i searched online for used ones and new and they were at about 450-500 for new and 400 for used and i figured get a new one so i have a warranty. i know im no photographer. i took some photos tonight and i deffinetly need more practice and to study the manual more. i didnt have much time today to read alot so hopefully tomorrow.
