I had to make this cars own thread, but i went to a car show this last saturday and there was one Honda ride there. I first saw it and thought it was a mid 80's Mustang , but no CRX draggster. I really wished the owner popped the hood cause i would of liked to see how they fit that bitch in. Anyways here's my evidence of the vehicle.Kinda odd lookin 2 me u think???

That nose and frame (thus the wheel base) is definately lenghtened, at least a foot or so. The door is usually reletively close to the wheel well, about 3/4 of what it is here, if not a little bit closer. Jus tlook at my signature.

THe grill isn't a typical 84-87 Civic/CRX grill. And the headlights are 86-87.

Do you mind if I post them on the 84-87 Civic/CRX club I'm in?

I don't care man, I could care less. But yeah the whole front was like a solid fiberglass piece at one time. I didn't talk to the owner, but I wish did cause I wanted to see what it looked like under the hood. But it was definetly gone through. I don't know if u noticed but it is tubbed out. From like the back of the frt seats was all cut out and fabricated up to give way for wheels .

BTW, it has a 408 for a motor, the tranny is a Turbo 350 3 speed automatic.

THe seats look like those yellow plastic racing seats you get from summit for just over $30. It looks like they might have had the sides painted black.

Ahhh damn my bad, and good call I guess when I was posting it all I could remember was 350 so that's my weak excuse for the false info.

you could technically make any fiberglass body and put it on there.

It sounds cool when you hear about it, but looking at it.....not so much

Yeah I agree, its no prom queen it is kinda odd lookin from the outside, but if you were to see it in person you could tell someone put a lot of their time and money into it. I mean the whole interior has been cut and molded and welded and fabricated and on and on. And from just lookin from the outside in, it does look like it sees a decent amount of track time . But its different, I laughed out loud when I first seen it 4 reals. All I thought was I gotta share this thing with all you guys. But then I looked at it different when I started to check it out more, that someone has put a lot into this car, and that's cool in my book.

THe thing is, you can't get fiberglass bodies for the 1g CRX's, they weigh next to nothing anyways. The only thing you can get really is a fiber glass mugen body kit, which you have to fiberglass onto the car.

yeah it couldn't be a stock replacement fiber glass end cause for one it was a lot longer then a stock one. But you probably all ready knew that

I posted it on the 84-87 Civic/CRX site, and all they did was point out all the small mistakes, like the wing hardly attached (one bolt on each side, the rear bolt just hanging off the back), the decals peeling, and so forth.

Yeah car specific forums are basically all like that, nit pick smash bash, hate, talk shit chew up shit out and call her a day. I know it wasn't nothin to brag about but i foundnit kinda interesting in it's own way.
