just letting everyone know early for scheduling, the SCC Spring Fling Car Show is currently scheduled for may 13th 2009. i will update this date as needed if it gets changed by the sponsors. hope to see everyone there!

yes as "under construction" as the car is nowhere near completion

roll in is at 7 am on may 13th, fees are $10 AT THE DOOR... no payment accepted before roll in...

it is at spokane community college, and the classes that i remember off the top of my head are "tuner", "classic", "under construction", and motorcycles... i know that there are more classes, but i left the forms in my car...

we don't really need help organizing, but we are gonna be doing a car wash to raise money to order the shirts with the all new logo for the SCC car club...

basically, mine goes into under construction because of the fact that with the plans that i have for the car, and with me being at LEAST 3 years from final completion, and me only having the wheels, strut bar, and battery upgrade into the car...

yeah but for most of us our car will always be under construction. there will always be something we want or want to change so it will never be completely done. like my car looks really good but im still atleast a year out on it and thats gonna be busting my ass on weekends and most nights. so maybe ill enter under construction

basically, i was also trying to avoid taking up space that the tuner class would otherwise use, as mine is not looked on very well as a tuner

We [the Asphalt Angels] had to get rid of our "Under Construction" class, because it brought up many arguements and drama, for many of the same reasons Bubba brought up. The last year we had the class, there were a couple rat rods (primer black, red rims,...) and they entered in "Under Construction". But someone who had their car on a trailer and a build book because the car was half torn apart, complained because those cars where in the same condition for a couple years, and have been shown that way.

I would do the same thing, if I showed up with my C-10, which is definately under construction and would be trailered in, and was up against a straight from the showroom floor Echo with a new set of rims.

Saying your going to do something and actually doing it are two completely different things. I have a 65 IH pickup that I'm swapping a 345 and 3/4 IH axles under it. I've been saying that for 4 years now. Is it under construction, no. It's rotting away.

i believe under construction classsifies any car that does not fit under the ncca minimal req for a show car. Car must have a minimum of five customized components one req wheels and tires. Vehicles showing any panels from absent interior or showing any primer are disqualified, unless it is the theme of the vehicle, but no points can be given towards those anyway. that would be my guess, shouldnt the scc have a rule set of some type to classify cars?

Yeah under construction classing always sucks. I took it off the Excelerator awards because of issues too. Plus it brings in all kinds of POS cars that people say have some grand vison. Most of those never do what they say they are planning.....

no, you are allowed, and pretty much any vehicle is allowed... there is one surprise out there, that you will laugh when you see it... gotta love spokane, is all i will say...

May 13 SCC Spring Fling: Car show, Zoot Suit balloon man, band Local Tap, barbeque and other activities for adults and children, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m., outside the SCC Lair-Student Center, Bldg. 6, Spokane Community College, 1810 N. Greene St. Most events are free; barbecue is $3 per person if tickets are purchased prior to May 13 and $4 if purchased on the day of the even. Information: 533-7081

it is the 13th... i just have not been online for a couple days... it is this upcoming Wednesday price for entry is $10, roll in is at 7 AM, and if you are not sure what class you belong in, just leave that section blank... and the reason for no upload of the appropriate forms is that i could not get them to load for some reason...

they have had pretty good turnout in years past on wednesday, and that was already set before by precedence... they will be giving out trophys that are hand built by students... also for location of scc it is right on mission right after mission meets trent

Seems as if the engine from the car they "blow up" is missing. Hope the car show still goes well! I remember last year the car show was pretty fun and although its not a huge show, it was still really good! HAVE FUN EVERYONE!!!

EDIT: Well I'm thoroughly disappointed. I didn't make it out till just before 3 and it was OVER. What kind of car show doesn't last until 3???? :mad5:

Well im pleased to say this was a great show! It needed to last longer and that would of been better. A show tell 1 is kinda bad but maybe next year. Over all after I figgered out were to drive it was great! I will post my pictures in a little bit
